I love your style of videos. I’m new to fishing and so many other channels talk about the same stuff as you, but hold stuff so far from the camera it’s hard to tell what it is. Please continue to do that for visual learners like myself. I believe you even threw in an animation in one of your previous videos that was also very helpful. I choose your channel over everyone else’s that I follow.

When it's all said and done, were here to enjoy the outdoors and cherish each day. I think back to the basics would be very refreshing. Thank you sir, and where do I send this dang hat of yours?

Thank you once again for sharing with us, I must say that I do catch more fish on a flat sided crank bait in a sexy shad color here in Florida especially now when the water is in the high 60's low 70's. I love your drag type retrieve and I am going to try it tomorrow on some suspending fish I found last 2 weeks. I have been catching them on a crank bait and Alabama rig with blue gill 3" swim baits. I would love to see some of your technics on jerking a minnow if you could. Thank you again your friend and fan Joe Mallozzi.

Great info as always. Just one thing though, I know you said you didn't particularly like to throw them around laydowns but years ago right after the original #5 shad rap came out 2 older cousins showed me that they were really good for catching big fish off laydowns in the middle of winter as long as there was a good little drop in depth within 8 or 10 feet of the bank. In southeast Alabama it can be as little as 5 or 6 feet. Saw them catch a bunch one morning at a public county lake with the best 6 weighing 36 Lb. It was like 44 degrees in December and like you said, they were just gently pulling a shad color through the wood. Sure made a believer out of me. I just wish rapala still made those baits. Anyway thanks again, it is just so nice of you to take the time to help all us wanna bes elevate our game a little bit

E!! You got to get bass pro to bring that last series cranking stick back!! I really love that rod!! I broke the tip on mine like many did, but I staffed it on a tackle bag and didn’t realize it. I lost 6 inches on it but added an eye and still use it. I’m using it for lipless bait use to throw chatterbaits with it. But, it’s well you know how great it it. Lest get it back! The new ones good too ( black blue) but heavier.

Great information for me heading into the weekend tournament at lake Havasu. Super clear water! Had not given the Fritz side a shot for that tournament but I am now. The next one I would like to see would be medium size jerkbaits. For example the ones in the 200 sizes of the strike king jerkbaits.

What a fantastic video! So much info. Loved it. I pummel ‘em on sides of rocky or gravel points throwing parallel to the bank. I use a spinning outfit for the smaller baits like the Little John. Were you throwing to the outside of the shade line intentionally or was that just a coincidence while you were targeting a particular depth? Thanks again Edwin for a terrific video and an awesome channel.

Another great video Edwin! I am curious if you ever throw Rapala Shad raps like #5 or #7 sizes on spinning rods? I find this tight wobble and small size really gets bites down into the low 40’s water temps in Kentucky. I use similar retrieve techniques using my rod to really slow down the crankbait with the spinning rod and reel combination too.
