In times of darkness, a song of unity to let the sunshine in.
The idea was to do a quarantine cover with musicians that I've met and/or played with in Matala, Crete, Greece.

That funky opening you're hearing is from the orchestrations of the film version of HAIR, which came out in 1979 (hence, the reason the year is added to the title). If you know the film, that's why there's also an element of urgency and suspense to it once it gets going.

I loved this. I am a child of the 60s. I was a sophomore in college when Hair became very popular. My friends and I pretty much memorized this entire album. This was so fun to hear you all do this. And, that one guitarist, I believe named Nick Vailer was a joy to look at! Yes, even we old queens can still be excited by a hot young man. Again, thanks for your doing this. And, God knows, we need to let the sunshine into our world right now!

Hi Katia! Well unity creates greatness and here we have great elements! I met all of these beautiful people in Crete. Obviously Roulis is the root of this collaboration. When, out of the blue, he played this song a few years ago in Matala I was mind blown. Before that I didn't know the song, neither the musical but his performance created such an atmosphere and impact that now I'm a fan of both! About a year later came the idea. "What if...and here we are!"
