Just got back from the Flinders. You camped just up the road from us in the Aroona Valley near Heyson’s hut. Great location. So...now you’re going up the Oodnadatta track, bet you camp at night coward Springs, our fav on the track.

Too many roos to keep going is no exaggeration. I was there in March 2019, and a roo ran in front of my hire car. Couldn't avoid it, but slowed to about 5 kmh before striking it. Hopped off, but still upsetting. When I got back to the cabins, the woman in reception told me they'd written off a vehicle the week before. Then when I returned the hire car in Adelaide, the guy told me he'd been through it as well. Not a reason to stay away, but be prepared for heaps of roos and some emus too.
