So 1977 Summer this song hit the air waves and as you driving around cruising you was into it . Needless to say years later about a year ago I introduced that song to some karaoke fans. They was just awe of that song and it caught this young lady said can you sing the song about the zodiac signs. Took me minute but I said float on . She said yes. And yes she loved it along with everybody else. I’m 70’s all the way a 1972 graduate era of the eight track.. with a great appreciation for music. Float on. This came out in the mid-late 70's and these brothers were a one-hit wonder. Asking a chick her zodiac sign was a big thing back in the 70's. This song was very popular back then and still is with the old heads. The moves that you see these guys do wasn't called dancing....it was called stepping.

THIS..... - ....not much trivia, due to this Band being 'One Hit Wonders'; the popularity of 'Astrology Love' during the "Me" Decade, and the loooooooooong length of the 12+ minute Album version (for lovemaking), made this an outta-the -box SMASH, hitting #1 R&B for SIX WEEKS, and #2 Pop, for two.... - ...It ORIGINALLY was written for (and by) a member of the R&B group The Detroit Emeralds, but the Floaters got it, due to a contract dispute regarding royalties (i.e. the writer gets ALL the money, and doesn't have to share it with the Band members.... ) - ...their 1978 LP, "Love Letters" stiffed, and after 4 Albums they broke up...they hired new members in 2001, and toured sporadically, but several members passed away, and disbanded again....

This is one of the greatest running jokes in my youth with our toilet humor back when we were young. We all laughed so hard sometimes still to this day nobody believes it was a band called The floaters with a song called float On.
