Sean Baker is really a great and a genius of a director he really cared about making this movie as best as he could and the end result to all that effort he put into the making of this movie was a masterpiece and overall timeless film, love this movie.

Chances are they re-recorded portions after they got the shot.

they do dubbing in post production for final audio output. On set they are just recording reference audio to hit the right spots in post production sound editing.

Each actor has a microphone, so they can mute the ones from the others, I think.

Most likely just overwhelmed, she was only 7 so it must’ve been quite overwhelming to be in front of all them cameras and trying hard to cry
