I am very grateful we have wise mothers like you in our era to remind us what life is all about. I am a nurse and this pandemic forced me to ask myself a lot of questions. Why do we not as a people and civilization invest in the health and wellbeing of our people through quality food, water, less pollution e.t.c but focus on solving problems that are created by us as a way of making profits... Thanks for your fight....many others are with you. My prayers and love🙏

I had a great learning experience as a gardener. My friend who never gardened but did a lot of reading about gardening, told me I should use this fertilizer he had seen advertised. I told him that the soil in my garden was very rich and didn't need any fertilizer. He insisted that I should try it. I said, OK, I'll plant half my corn with your fertilizer and half without it. My unfertilized corn germinated first; and looked green and healthy. Three days later, the side with the advertised fertilizer came up looking pale yellow and tired! There is more to gardening that data and reading someone's idea of what your soil needs!

Vandana Shiva's passion has really inspired me again. What we need is a clear path to adopt on an individual level to combine to a Global movement. We need an incorruptible flag to wave that is based on core values. A step by step guide to literally walk your average citizen of the world to a far better understanding and arm them with direct action resources to combat these demigods. People are desperately in need of know how and direction, to make an effective difference. Clear and concise, no fluff, we need to get serious now. There's too much vagueness and shop talk in these sorts of discussions, as much as I enjoy them, we need to branch out from preaching to the crowd. Shiva has to also include men in her protestations, combined, women and men are an unstoppable force. Love you both 💓

great video about how the massive force of globalization has had on the world and the way we need to go to get out of its control. i would like information on how to go the way of more connection with nature and human economies in day to day living in canada and how to show my fully influenced 14 year old gamer son who feels that the wonderful future lies in computers, monoculture thinking, commerce and capitalism. I live in a small house in canada, have a big garden, have solar panels, dont own a car, and try to live closer to nature by making everyday choices in purchases, food and way of living. Even though i am showing, modeling my son that there is an alternative for striving to get the latest thing, that is all he thinks about. If we have a good chance to get out of this paradigm that we are in right now and start a new way of thinking and living, how do we change the minds of the young people right now?

Vandana is a brilliant woman and I belive if we want to save our planet, we do need to become more like indigenous peoples. However, I disagree that consumerism is 100% bad. It is consumerism that drives us to find and fund cures for diseases. It is consumerism which improves technology. It is consumerism that fosters peace between nations (its hard to trade with a country you are at war with). I think the problem isn't consumerism, but EXCESS & WASTE. We don't need more expensive cars, or gold plated bidets, or personal helicopters to avoid traffic. We don't need 175ft recreational yachts for throwing parties or pink pineapples and square watermelons. We don't need casinos or buffet-style dining halls. We don't need to throw away half of all our edible crops because they are shaped funny.

Which part or what do you mean?
@DukeGMOLOL3 жыл бұрын
@@romansobak8333 Among Shiva's controversial talking points is her false claim that there was no hunger in India prior to the Green Revolution. The truth is almost 180 degrees the opposite, as the Green Revolution, marked in part by the introduction of synthetic chemical fertilizers and pesticides enable massive increases in food production. Production of cereal crops tripled during this period, with only a 30% increase in land area cultivated. Her notorious allegation that the introduction of insect-resistant GMO cotton in India led many farmers to commit suicide has been evaluated and dismissed as inaccurate. The truth is that Indian farmer suicides pre-existed the introduction of the only GMO crop allowed in India, cotton, and those suicides did not increase after GMO cotton was introduced. In fact, GMO cotton went from zero acres in 2001 to 20 million acres a few years later with a 90% adoption rate. To this day the 90% adoption rate holds. Shiva is also a fierce opponent of so-called Golden Rice, a crop engineered to combat vitamin A deficiency in developing countries. That alone makes her a low life.
