Okay I was laughing at “Pet the cat!” CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP until we got to Maya. Full on tears. Thanks to the kind wonderful first responders and veterinarians - true heroes along with her. ♥️

Maya the service dog is exemplary in her devotion and self-sacrifice. So glad she and her human will be ok and grateful for the generosity of all the vets. All the dogs were wonderful again this week. Now please excuse me while I go find my tissues.❤

Odin executing pirouettes at top speed down the stairs is one dose of smiles, but Goro... You see, my love-a-puppy, Zeva, only got to see me once a year. When I returned from abroad each summer, she would first bark at me. All I had to say was "Zeva, you know who I am!" to trigger her memory. And then, a frantic race: to the toy corner, back to me, to give me toy after toy after toy. And then, when we settled into the visit, she would sit next to me on the couch, the better to press her entire body to mine. Goro, the reverse-Zeva, brought all that back. I loved that dog.

I love all the stories, mostly making me laugh, but the last one broke me. I'm trying to write whilst crying. It was as if she thought her mum wouldn't make it, so she'd stay with her to both their ends. The happy ending made it bearable (major props to the firefighters for resuscitating the pup, and the vet for the free treatment!) Once again, thanks for the best video of the week on any platform ❤❤❤

The waterpark opening for dogs before draining for the winter is awesome. Totally get why they can't admit dogs all summer but that they make the effort to give them their own day at the end of the season is wonderful. I'll bet it makes the local news every year so everyone knows when the park has closed for the winter. Possible fundraiser for a local shelter? Tickets per doggy? Shelter brings adoptable dogs? Dog lovers (who cannot own) can just come to watch the fun.

They’re not very athletic but enjoy going fast and playing outside so this is a “sport” they can play with the best. I think it’s great that their people give them this enrichment.
