There was one in Moreton-in-Marsh station this morning: I didn't catch its snout as it arrived, but I think it was in green GWR livery from end-to-end, and looked quite resplendent in what looked like a recent coat of paint. It was stationary for an unusually long time, and then left with quite a bit of noise

We have literally gone backwards in intercity travel in this country, the new iet trains are crap compared to the hst! Yes they may accelerate faster, even in diesel mode but that's about the only thing better than what the hst offered & going from a buffet car to someone dragging a trolley through is just laughable.

Hate the IETS myself the comfort is shit compared to the mk3s seats of the hst also the trolley service is crap does not offer up most of what the buffet had on the hst used to live a bacon bab and a coffee in the mornings now can only get a coffee and light refreshments it’s just gone down hill Iv even been on the first class and there seats are like sitting on a spring shocking
