To The whole crew you guys are great actors, shooters, tacticians. Jan you could be a movie director your work filming and directing is sublime. Ziga you are very good at acting, you are able to be serious and pass the impression that you are really in a life or death situation, plus your Central Alexis Operator and your spray and pray charecter were really funny. Manca you are a great actres you pass the sensation of dispair, fear and confussion you play your part really well, best action shorty actors.

It actually have like 90% of more action than most of Hollywood movies. I've never ever seen better action without enemies. GOD I'm scared of the fog more than after watching a Stephen King movie.

Excellent video!!! It must have taken a lot of work to accomplish. Good job Polenar Tactical and video team. I really like how the video shows the critical decision making required for that type of ambush scenario. Lots of action going on in low visibility, and the uncertainty of where your partner is. Shows how effective teamwork can get you safely out of a dangerous situation.This video is excellent in reinforcing the need for consistent training in all types of environments. Throughout the video I am asking myself "how would I react? what decisions would I make? etc... " Excellent teaching tool. BRAVO.

The first part in the fog looks just like the opening of a horror film where you know something bad is about to happen. Good point about Manca using iron sights. Well done!

Great video, so awesome to watch you guys get better and better! One small thing though, and I do understand that it was probably done for the purpose of storytelling. When walking in an area that might possibly have enemy contact, stay the **** off the ridgeline. Even in such thick fog as that, there is such a thing as skylining. Maybe it's just the American Indian coming out in me from my time spent in the rocky mountains, but seriously, ridgelines are meant to be crested with your head in a bush or next to a rock, certainly not walked on. Anyway, just my two bits about staying alive, and regardless, it was most certainly a well done video. Looking forward to more! :)

Yes, when we were filming, Žiga was telling me that the ridge is not the best tactical position you can have. We compromised that tactic for the video, since it was a perfect location to film the ambush. Like we say, we really try to make it as realistic as possible, but sometimes you just can't pass up a great location like that ridge :) Good advice, though, thank you for commenting! - Jan

The "fog" is a good analogy/metaphor for the confusion in a ambush. The Polenar short films like the "The Unit" in many ways are better than big budget corporate films because Polenar's crew communicates realism. If Polenar added dialogue and symbolic content, it would be dynamite.
