We join the Drawfee gang dabbling in the occult by reading each other's future using Tarot cards. Boy I hope no one gets their personality rinsed by The Cards.

For anyone wondering: since they only drew from the major arcana, and 2 cards were already pulled, the odds were 1 in 20, or 5%. The deck essentially rolled a critical hit against Jacob.

See, I watch this episode and I was 100% sure the entire time that they had stacked the deck to give everyone a card that seemed fitting. Nathan got the sun and drew himself as a happy little sun dude, very apt, Karina got the empress and drew herself as a cutesy and sly but dangerous woman, which is literally how she always portrays herself, and after Jacob got the fool, because he's usually the butt of the joke, Julia got the tower, because she's always trying to draw inanimate objects and scenes instead of characters, and also the very dark imagery gels perfectly with her style. I really don't know what they could have drawn that was more apt than what they did, and that makes me think it was a setup.

Everything about this is fantastic. The fact that the book actually has 'the asshole, a nasty man that everyone hates' written in it, karina excitedly shaking jacob, the MASTERFUL transition from the fool (card) to the fool (mirror with jacob as the fool).... Incredible. I really enjoy the artistic liberties you take with bits like this it really like, justifies the transition into animation? Its just a lot of fun to watch even when youre familliar with the source material. Every video is an absolute delight!

Funnily enough, they all drew cards that match them really well. Nathan got the Sun, for general good vibes and sunshiny disposition. Jacob got the Fool, for trying new ideas and techniques (at the time Jacob would host "Newsday", when they try new things). Karina got the Empress, for being sweet yet aggressive. Julia got the Tower, for being ominous and drawing a whole scene/building/room when she only needed to draw a character.

I love watching these videos because I can watch them dozens of times (and have), noticing new stuff each time. The details like: Karina shaking the table slightly before Jacob flips the card, the "diss track" tarot card, Jacob sliding down the chair under the table instead of just cutting to the next shot, Karina flipping him off in the book at the end, and ESPECIALLY "the asshole" in the book was Griffin's 15 year old bully that died in the Applebees with his 20 babes that were all paramedics.
