Beautiful. And: the more complex a democratic system, the less likely it is for wise people to be elected. The same principle applies to all human networks. Isaiah’s descriptions were not limited to government. We see them being fulfilled in families, friend groups, workplaces, neighborhoods, and every other human network. Wise people are not wise in the eyes of fools, nor are virtuous people admirable to those who are not virtuous. Only a just system will exalt the righteous.

Very good point! Thanks for the insight! Yes, networks at all levels. I also imagine that in many networks (particularly social networks) those hubs are sustained by light bearers. Once they are "removed" (called out, killed, etc) those networks collapse.
