Basically do you find any real difference between the tampers? I think the force one has an adjustable pressure mechanism where you can set it to any amount. The Normcore v3 has one set pressure and the v4 has 3 dif springs with dif pressures which should be good for most people.

Hoon, how do you adjust these Tampers too deal with the additional depth of the puck screen? Is the puck screen touching your shower screen? I find that instead of guessing how much less coffee to put in the cup, I address the additional depth of the puck screen by adjusting my Tamper to the additional depth, which is 1.7mm!!

I like puck screen. My finding was the wet puck is with oily dark roasts . Screen or no screen.

I was looking at both these tampers and went with the Force 58.5mm to fit in my Weber Unibasket. My 58mm tamper was leaving some coffee on the edges of the basket.

What I'm trying to find out,Normcore says on Amazon 58.58.5mm. I asked the question on Amazon,I'd the 58.5mm ste size of the I guess you say piston,the part that goes in the basket,or is the 58.5mm the size of the part that rests on the outside of the basket?

The force tamper biggest difference is the click. When it clicks it forces grinds off the tamper with such aggressive clicking mechanism . The V4 clicks is just the tamper pushing past a pin thus making a “clicking” sound.

Hi! Are the puck screens for the Normcore and the Flair 58 exactly the same size? My Flair 58 puck screen measures 58.25 mm, whereas the Normcore says it's 58.5. The reason I ask is that the gap between my Flair 58 puck screen and my basket seems to permit channelling around the edge. I'm considering getting the Normcore if it is actually bigger.
