My 2012 F150 Lariat 4x4 super crew with a 5.0 cost $42K. Today’s prices are nearly double on the same truck. Insane!

Not crazy about the 5.0 using a cogged wet belt to drive the oil pump.

I recently sold my 2018 F150 Crew Cab 4x4. It was moderately modified with 34" tires, 3 inch lift, tune, etc. The truck was great but I wanted something different. I looked at new F150's with the FX4 package but the prices were too high and I was not thrilled with all the recalls with Ford lately. I never owned a GM truck but always thought the new style looked great. Yes the interior could be "fancier" on lower trims but its all opinion. All the STX with FX4 packages were priced over $50k! I test drove a 2024 Trail Boss Custom with the Turbomax engine. The deal was too hard to pass. They gave me over KBB for my F150, in total I had $9k off the price, and ended up paying under $40k OTD. Crazy deal. I like the simplicity of the Custom, the engine in new but it drives great with plenty of torque and the transmission is well mannered/matched with the 2.7 Turbo. The truck is "off Road" oriented and looks the part. Its a "poor" mans ZR2. Ford needs to get their quality control in order and make a comparable truck to the Trail Boss Silverado Custom, the FX4 does not match it.

Like the Tremor, but price is crazy. FYI, did you see where Nissan is in talks with Honda on possible merger?

The full-size prices are eye-popping. If I trade again, I'm going up to the HD Chevy 6.6 L8T. I love my coyote pre-cylinder deactivation. Get an L8T next for my money before the next emissions crap. I worry the next thing is HDs will take their own price jump, seeing as how the price lines of full-size and HD are now blurred. I've had enough of watching prices go up for more problematic products. Ideally, i would never trade, but keeping a '19 forever means the electrical gremlins will take up residence sooner than later. I say if one can afford it, buy the last of the unmolested gas HDs and ride out the coming EPA crap with a fresh truck to look back years later with satisfaction. There's always a gamble. It's best to reduce the risks.

I live in Ontario Canada bought myself a 2022 150 tremor 402 brand new when I retired have only 25,000 km love it ,love watching your videos, and yes the price on all trucks is crazy ,my first truck was a 1978 chev ,2 door 8ft box got it brand new for 4,800 dollars lol.

Yep if I was buying a f150 it would be the tremor with the 402 package. And Id be mad about the price, but Id still buy it.

It’s funny you like the keypad but it’s literally an aftermarket/dealer add on that is stuck on with adhesive tape😅 it’s an overpriced dealer add on IMO. I personally love the Tremor but it’s priced to high for me, the panoramic roof is my favorite thing trucks have started doing. Now they just need to put them on midsize trucks👌

in 2025 the key pad is a deal add on for 500. in 2024 it was a factory option for 200. Crazy the games ford plays

78K?! My God, I want some of what Ford is on. I said it on the other video, but I'll say it here too. My F-250 tremor MSRP was a hair over 71K.

After taxes and license it's going to be over 80,000. I rather just buy a heavy duty truck for that amount of money. And with Ford's quality they're putting out today, I don't want to be in and out of the dealership dealing with recalls. Not worth the money or the time.
@FizzleWick17 сағат бұрын
What new truck would you get instead?
@westcoastronnieOC7146 сағат бұрын
@@FizzleWick1 Good Day! As of now in 2024 I would probably get either a Chevy HD truck or a Ram HD truck. If you're in the market to buy a truck now I would probably go to Ram. Because Stellantis which owns Ram is giving good incentives to their 2024 trucks. Just want to say all manufacturers have problems with their vehicles. But Ford just seems to have the lower quality control with their vehicles. Am I saying that whatever truck you buy from another brand you're going to have less problems? No. But if you go with the Ford the chances of you having a lot of issues is more greater than the other brands. If you do your research on Ford recalls on their vehicles you're going to find out. But if you want the most bang for your buck in 2024 I would go with Ram because they're trying to give a lot of incentives on their vehicles to start moving product. You may have to shop around if you're looking into a Chevy, but you're going to have to take your time and do your homework if you want a good deal or just build the truck yourself on their website and pick what you want and don't want in order to save money. . Just remember when you go into those high trims on those vehicles with either brand the price is going to go up higher. I personally would go somewhere in the middle trim for example I would go with an LT Chevy Z71 4 x 4 2500 HD and then later on just go ahead and add anything that you want to it aftermarket. But the way the Ram trucks are made for 2024 and 2025 under the old CEO who just got fired I would just wait until 2025 or 2026 under the new ceo. The quality will probably be better and you'll get a better product. This is just all my opinion so take it with a grain of salt. If you can hold out let's say for example on a truck and you want a Ram heavy-duty HD and you want a good quality vehicle I would wait until 2025 or 2026. Because the new CEO that's in there now is all about building a good product and good quality so I would wait until those model of trucks come out under his time running the company. Hope this information is somewhat helpful for you .
