Jackie Chan should’ve had more serious roles long time ago

Paula Dee his choice to have funny movies. Thsre were great serious movies back then. His words, from him, that he CHOSE to be silly. We already had Bruce Lee. then all those other great kung fu movies. Ao he made himself standout. He chose to do the 3 stooges version of kung fu. Action and to make people have a good time and laugh. Hes older and now just want to do difference. And a lot of movies, today, have taken out the good parts of past movies.

Agon Leed I never said he didn’t have a choice in what type of movies he did. I respect his decision on his career. That is what was good for him and it made him successful beyond measure. I watched Jackie Chan before Bruce Lee. It would’ve been nice to have a balance of the comedy and the drama. I’m saying that The Foreigner is so great that I would’ve loved to see more deeper roles for him.

Ya I liked it a lot. You forgot to drop Jet Li V Jackie Chan in The Forbidden Kingdom. Great balance of comedy and Fantasy/Action. I remember it being the Fantasy Fight of two great action fighters

Hello Mr. Baker I just happened to stumble on your video upon looking up the Foreigner. I enjoyed your review of the film and I agree with you. I just finished watching the movie myself and I thought this film and Jackie did a great job! I do wish Hollywood would allow him to be more versatile. This film captures and allows the viewer to see his acting skills. You see he can do more than flips and kick butt. Hopefully Hollywood sees it too and they cast him in more serious roles.

For serious Jackie Chan films - check out Crime Story (1993), Heart Of The Dragon (1985) and Island Of Fire (1991). Even Police Story (1985) was fairly intense for a Jackie Chan film. Another very solid performance can be seen in Little Big Soldier (2010) which I really enjoyed.

I would’ve given this film a 4.25-4.5 saxophones. This was a refreshing film. Side note: They beat the brakes off him in Rumble in the Bronx. Also, watch Drunken Master.

One second into this review you can just tell Mr. Baker enjoyed this movie, lol. The smiles and dimples... 😄 I haven't seen The Foreigner yet, but I would like to, especially now after this review. I enjoy Mr Chan's and Mr. Brosnan's work individually and yes also a fan of Mr. Neeson's movies, so will most likely enjoy this one. Thank you for the review, always a good time.
