The Forest of Bowland | Whins Brow

Hi Everyone
Welcome back to another adventure. After a week of feeling very much under the weather due to a cold and surviving storm Eowyn I decided it was time to get out and get some fresh air in the lungs.
I planned a short walk taking in a new hill and ticking off another new trig.
From the car park at Langden Brook I walked a short distance up the road to the Bowland Mountain Rescue base. Directly across the road leading up the fell side is a distinct quad bike track which took me all the way on the the plateau top of Staple Oak Fell. Arriving at a small coppice the path dissapears and its a spot of heather bashing up to the fence line which you then follwo all the way to the summit trig of Whins Brow.
Dropping off Whins Brow back down to the road where I turned left and followed the road through the Trough of Bowland and back to the car.
Only a short walk today with not feeling 100% but it certainly was good to get out.
