Absolutely stunning, captures the essence of why we choose trails over roads every time. I applaud everything this masterpiece depicts 🙌🏻

Well these are not my woods, but this makes me feel so homesick. This video truly brings out the call of the woods that folks born and raised there hear (and those who pass through get a small glimpse of).

A portion of their run was through Fern Canyon in Northern California. I'm guessing the other parts were through Avenue of the Giants, also in Northern California.

+redwoodfox Well, we were there last week. Unfortunately, we picked the most rainy day to go into the forest. The winds felt like 60 mph and some hard rain. We decided to stay in Corte Modera the rest of the week long trip. I will for sure go back and try my luck on a less rainy time of the year. Also, I really appreciated the soil there. We walked on some of the mud at roadside to take pics yet we did not track any mud into the car somehow. That doesn't happen here in Texas.

Catt Moogle I can't hear the quotations very well (I have hearing loss at both ears)... Only found the "deep deep down, far far in" one with some words that are clear for me. :-/
@deanleslie18069 жыл бұрын
Peter Boels Catt Moogle Here is the script: Can you hear me? / Can you feel me? / Close your eyes Let your hands and nerve ends dropStop breathing for 3 secondsAnd listen to the silence inside the illusion of the world.And you will remember the lesson you forgotWe are all part of one vast awakened thingI call it the golden eternitySo if you awaken from this illusionLet me share this remembrance That we are all greatAnd What you are Deep, deep down,Far, far in, Is simply the fabric And structure Of existence itself.So close your eyesLet your hands andbnerve ends dropAnd remember the lesson you forgot Words Inspired by, and based on, the writing of Jack Kerouac and the lectures of Alan Watts

Dean Leslie Thanks a lot for that info Dean! Much appreciated.

Peter Boels Here's the original Alan Watts quotation, one of my favorites =) “If you awaken from this illusion, and you understand that black implies white, self implies other, life implies death - or shall I say, death implies life - you can conceive yourself. Not conceive, but feel yourself, not as a stranger in the world, not as someone here on sufferance, on probation, not as something that has arrived here by fluke, but you can begin to feel your own existence as absolutely fundamental. What you are basically, deep, deep down, far, far in, is simply the fabric and structure of existence itself.” - Alan Watts
