I lost an Air Force etac in Afghanistan in 2004 and learned after the fact the first class casualty assistance the Air Force provides its best. That is a distinct advantage a small force can provide its community it it is switched on. Great tribute.

Honor to Mark Forester. I know the hard duty of casualty notification. The range of all human emotion compressed into a few minutes while the formal announcement is given. It is impossible to prepare for or to forget. USAF ADCOM ‘72-‘76, USN NAVAIR ‘76-‘80.
