One of the most interesting things I remember from Jenette McCurdy's book is how she mentioned since after everything came out they didn't want Dan Schneider on the set with actual children so he sat in a room way off set and gave notes from there. Apparently, it also made the cast's work days way longer. So I could definitely see why the quality of these shows was often worse than the others. (But I actually did quite enjoy Henry Danger haha)

The weirdest thing about henry danger and game shakers is that they actually are connected to the ICarly/Victorious universe, where elements and characters from those shows appear, but at the same time, those shows exist as actual shows, too. It implies a strange world where, for example, Nathan Cress exists as an actor who portrayed Freddie in the sitcom iCarly, but the events of iCarly and the characters also exist. Quinton Reviews is doing a massive series on those shows that goes into far more depth.

I remeber that Game Shakers was so confusing to me even as a kid. They have only 1 person in the entire group coding and making the assets of the games from scratch in a less than ideal work environment while the rest of the crew just goofs around and burns all their budget and savings of the company on stupid and unnecesary shit and sometimes even sabotaging or interrupting the only individual that is doing all the work. Can we actually talk about how cool of a concept for a show what Mark described the ending of Henry Danger as? It'd be genuinely quite cool to see a more serious tone show about a few vigilantes living in a more cyberpunk city in Korea or Japan, forced to live off the grid as ghosts, seeking their own form of justice that goes beyond the limits of the law; not staring the folks from Henry Danger or ran on any children's network obviously, as it'd likely get quite dark at times, bringing in questions of morality and what is going too far when in pursuit of justice. Just feel like it'd be a really cool show that if done properly, would really captivate audiences and could really hit hard with some folks

honestly Henry Danger felt the most well put together out of the current batch of nickelodeon sitcoms and i think it’s actually a pretty good show. it reaches a peak and decline gradually which kinda shows how grounded it is and it’s humor and nonsense land the most compared to game shakers and even the thundermans

i also think that jasper, while being the dumb gibby clone, is the most unique of the dumb characters. he doesn’t say things completely out of left field and show an expression of some sort that’s supposed to say “go on, laugh at how stupid i am”. plus i think his character matured as the show went on, along with the rest of the characters

Actually, Mark, the key difference between Henry Danger and The Adventures of Kid Danger is that TAoKD is BATSHIT INSANE FOR NO REASON. The show literally has an episode where charlotte merges with an octopus for some reason and then by the end of the episode charlotte merges with a car and becomes an octopus car thing. I like to think they used the show as the dumping grounds for ideas that the writers thought were too hard to do in live action, but the problem is all those ideas happened to be shit.

He's already said that Sam & Cat is the furthest he's going to go. He hasn't ruled out doing extensive reviews for Zoey 101 and Drake & Josh though.

I was 8 when kid danger was released. I remember watching these with my sister who was similar in age. I’m almost scared to look back and realize that this is who was responsible for a big part of my childhood. Shows like Kid Danger, The Thundermans, Game Shakers, and others were very very entertaining to me.

As a current teen who wasn't old enough to watch the shows at release (e.g iCarly and Victorious) me and my little brother would watch reruns of it all the time for years. We loved watching iCarly, Henry Danger, Sam and Cat and the Thundermans. Henry Danger was a long time favourite for us until it ended, but the ending was very shaky but was still fun for us. So I definitely have different views as I'm on the younger side then those who grew up with Drake and Josh etc. I'm thankful for the shows I watched, even if the ratings are low for them. And similarly I don't watch TV much anymore I watch KZbin. I do miss those times with recording excessive amounts of all the shows and clogging up the planner with all the episodes. Good times

It’s wild to me that the new generation isn’t watching tv shows like they use to and KZbin has really killed of cartons I remember the good old days watch icarly victorious and big time rush as they aired live on tv the golden era they called it

As someone who grew up with 2010’s Nick, Henry Danger & Game Shakers were the shit at school 😭. Ngl while these shows kinda suck, I def have more nostalgia for them then Dan’s older shows. You should do vid on the other sitcoms that aired around this time, like the Thundermens and Nicky Ricky Dicky & Dawn, they’re also pretty bad but theyd be pretty funny to review 😂

He needs to review their newest sitcoms like That Girl Lay - Lay, Young Dylan, and Side Hustle. Their cheesy but they still have some charm in them. Btw, the first two shows main characters are “famous“ internet child stars. Anyway I hope I gave you some entertainment ;)

Yeah, i was born around the era were icarly, drake and josh victorious and Sam cand cat were all the rave with older audiences but I never got to experience those things So i grew up with henry danger, game shakers and more "modern cartoon shows". So they hold a special place in my heart.

I will admit you make some good points about the shows in this video but I still hold these shows very close to me and I’m glad there are some out there who have the same amount of nostalgia for these shows as me.
