The weirdest thing about henry danger and game shakers is that they actually are connected to the ICarly/Victorious universe, where elements and characters from those shows appear, but at the same time, those shows exist as actual shows, too. It implies a strange world where, for example, Nathan Cress exists as an actor who portrayed Freddie in the sitcom iCarly, but the events of iCarly and the characters also exist. Quinton Reviews is doing a massive series on those shows that goes into far more depth.

I remeber that Game Shakers was so confusing to me even as a kid. They have only 1 person in the entire group coding and making the assets of the games from scratch in a less than ideal work environment while the rest of the crew just goofs around and burns all their budget and savings of the company on stupid and unnecesary shit and sometimes even sabotaging or interrupting the only individual that is doing all the work. I know it's supposed to not be realistic at all, but that was something that always baffled me when I was younger. It's just a show that doesn't work at all.

Dan Schneider and Butch Hartman have always been kindred spirits to me. Decent kids' shows that got popular based on randomness and luck, a career that rapidly declined after a few big hits, rampant 2000s nostalgia for their classic shows, falling from grace in the public eye...
@rich3552 жыл бұрын

I think an issue with Henry Danger is that they didn't cover the superhero content enough and did not feel like superheroes. It felt more like a buddy show where they just happened to be heroes. Can we actually talk about how cool of a concept for a show what Mark described the ending of Henry Danger as? It'd be genuinely quite cool to see a more serious tone show about a few vigilantes living in a more cyberpunk city in Korea or Japan, forced to live off the grid as ghosts, seeking their own form of justice that goes beyond the limits of the law; not staring the folks from Henry Danger or ran on any children's network obviously, as it'd likely get quite dark at times, bringing in questions of morality and what is going too far when in pursuit of justice. Just feel like it'd be a really cool show that if done properly, would really captivate audiences and could really hit hard with some folks
@manikins32838 ай бұрын
Tbh it is. Even though they don’t explore themes that dark. Henry danger has a lot of arcs focusing on how being a hero as a child, how working under his boss effects him, how hard it is to keep the secret up. There are points in time where he shows these emotions vividly.

I was 8 when kid danger was released. I remember watching these with my sister who was similar in age. I’m almost scared to look back and realize that this is who was responsible for a big part of my childhood. Shows like Kid Danger, The Thundermans, Game Shakers, and others were very very entertaining to me.

What’s really wild is that technically Henry Danger and Game Shakers actually do exist in the same universe as Dan’s other shows. I recently watched Quinton Reviews’ hours long videos on shows from the Nickelodeon Sitcom Universe (iCarly, Victorious, and the first half of Sam & Cat so far) and he has whole segments on how the shows crossover with each other and other shows. Like Helen from Drake & Josh appears in Victorious and Game Shakers. Stacy Dilson and Coco from Zoey 101 appear in Sam & Cat. Goomer from Sam & Cat appears in Henry Danger. And the weirdest one, Cat’s brother who’s mentioned throughout Victorious and Sam & Cat is implied to be the main villain in Henry Danger. Frankini-played by Ariana Grande’s obnoxious older brother Frankie Grande-has Goomer as a sidekick or something, and Goomer mentions having previously worked with Frankini’s sister.

Henry Danger is a guilty pleasure for me (trust me there's more guilt than pleasure). I watched it back when I didn't know what this weird word "quality" was and found it mostly pretty okay. Looking back at it, I can see it's......not good but I find it as a good "hate watch" show. Shows I can laugh at for all the wrong reasons and point out hilarious flaws to are some of my favourite things to watch and boy did Nick and Disney channel have me covered in the mid 2010's. Overall, I can't say I hate Henry Danger but I can't call it good either.

Does anyone remember the show Knight Squad ? I remember my younger siblings watching it and although I don't remember anything about the show itself, it was clear that Nickelodeon had so much hope and effort in this show saving their network. I haven't heard much about it and I'm sure it got cancelled immediately, but it would be cool if someone made a video explaining what happened with this show and what went on behind the scenes

The Schneider's cinematic universe is quite nuanced, with characters crossing over from multiple shows. Say what you will about Henry Danger, the show got to 100 episodes which is more than Drake and Josh, I Carly, Victorious or Zoey 101.

I think calling them "forgotten" is a bit off-target, because these shows clearly have dedicated fanbases. I think a better way to describe them is that they didn't have quite the pop culture impact that Dan Schneider's earlier shows did, so they're just not discussed nearly as often by people who aren't nostalgic for them.
@herowither123542 жыл бұрын
@@LordArikado the main reason for that is people are too pretentious to give Henry Danger and Game Shakers an actual chance, look only at the flaws, while ignoring the flaws of the other shows based only on Nostalgia. Although, the Henry Danger cartoon is bad and should be forgotten.

For those of you who don't want to Google it, the Christmas movie with Greg Heffley is Pete's Christmas. My mom and grandma really didn't like me watching that Wizards show as a kid, but when I got to an age where I was old enough to realize it's not real, they were like "it's fine" and I did watch it. being spanish made me watch thse shows MUCH MORE LATER than everybody else, for example, Henry Danger didn't premiere until 2018 for me, and Game Shakers until LAST YEAR. and i haven't even watched the classic ones like Drake & Josh because the tv channel i watched these weren't able to or just didn't want to get those due to the bad quality, which is isn't even the fault of the people who made those sitcoms because they ddin't have the equipment we have now, but i do remember seeing Henry Danger, a show that i put up with because i wanted and i liked the premise (mostly because i was seeing Doraemon everywhere in the channel i mostly stay with), every night when stuff in the channel i watch normally dry out i went to the one that shared Henry Danegr to see it, it was much better. Also dumb thing to say, the entire Henry Danger animated series is literally a meta joke on itself, there's even an episode on the main show that it's literally the characters working on the series because the one the supposed comapny was doing was absolutely awful, it didn't made sense and some characters literally leave their skeleton corpse behind (yeah talk about kid violence am i right?)
