Something I've always found interesting about the future timeline is that it's Vegeta's bloodline that ends up becoming the last line of defense for Earth instead of Goku's. Maybe I'm thinking too deeply into this but I think that's really cool.

Well, not quite. The timeline Cell came from is actually the original timeline, and unbeknownst to Trunks, his timeline was now an offshoot of that one as a result of Cell having travelled to the "main" timeline in the time machine a year prior to him.

It's not like he knew the Androids were going to attack. And, according to the DBS manga, Gohan (and Bulma) had an idea very much like that, but before they could use the DBs, Pilaf and co. used them to become kids and Piccolo died soon after, rendering the DBs inert.

This was cool to see, and I wish they had kept trunks as cool as he was inthe cell arc. The direction they go in gt and in super makes him look stupid or like he doesnt know what he is doing. Trunks needs to take up the Mantle a bit more and become hisown stronger character like in future timeline without having Goten dragging him down. Trunks is smart and goten is always not letting him shine through.

I did a video on the Android saga and spent a few moments trying to reconstruct it. In THAT timeline it's most likely that Bulma's attempt to recreate the shutdown remote worked, and Cell's musings that the Androids seemed to be dead, was based on how Cell didn't even know the shut down code existed at all. Also... he'd apparently murdered everyone and took the time machine by killing Trunks. Which... is a wrinkle I hadn't gone over... why did Bulma build the time machine? Well.. could be the heart virus thing. In all three timelines Goku seems to get it. And Shutdown remote or not, it's possible there was mass destruction in the Android fights. But other than Trunks being alive... until Cell kills him, we don't know ANYTHING about how that happened. Or how Bulma apparently acquired the shutdown remote.

Despite Trunk's tragedies he still does not give up on the future, and that is the reason why he is my favorite DB character. Anyone else in his shoes would have already given up, and even Gohan himself eventually threw his life away, because he got too reckless and desperate against the Androids, while Trunks usually always kept a cooler head, and he handled the situations more seriously.

Once Bejita understood who Trunks was, I wonder if in his thought process he said to himself "So my son was the one to kill Freeza, I'm so proud it's someone from my own blood and not from that of the low class garbage Kakarrot/Kakarrot himself." Or that it was more like "My son killed Freeza?! How did he dare to steal my destiny?!" Back to the subject of this video I loved it. Future Trunks is my favorite Saiyan hybrid with no hesitation, so I naturally love anything to do with him even if it's not much. Present Trunks and Goten however are two garbage juice characters.

At that moment, I think Vegeta was too wrapped up in his own ego to have pride for anyone other than himself. He probably finally developed a sense of pride for Trunks after they spent a year together in the ROSAT, since that's when Trunks really caught up to him and Vegeta himself told 2nd Form Cell that Trunks was "almost as strong as [him]".
