This is one of my most personal favorite videos. It took a lot of talent to create such a piece in my opinion. Using this beautiful soundtrack really creates the feel and the emotion through the pictures- Which the art is all different artist. That is very impressive that they blend together so well. Not to mention I personally know this is the most common Taka/Scar Theory in the TLK fandom. This is the version most choose to believe and I love it!

Who doesn't agree that Mufasa and Taka/Scar's childhood should've been a prequel to the actual Lion King? I wanted to know who Mufasa's father was when he mentioned it to Simba. There really should have been 3 movies. I'm just explaining what should transpire in my opinion though i dont claim what i know about this. The first starts off with Mohatu and a terrible accident leaves him with his only daughter Uru. Also as she meets Ahadi, an outlander, it becomes a struggle to gain Mohatu's approval and take their place in the Circle of Life. The 2nd movie should about how Ahadi's dream affects the way he he treats Taka and focuses his attention to Mufasa. It should start off with Mohatu guiding Ahadi as a parent with his two baby sons. This could be pretty funny. All is going well until the night Ahadi has a dream about Taka's future. The next morning he is lost in thought so he talks to Mohatu. He tells Ahadi not to dwell on it and treat them mutually well. Even so, later on, he asks Rafiki for help and tells him what's been troubling him. Rafiki says, Mufasa and Taka are two parts of a whole. Mufasa has the makings of a true king, but Taka's heart burns with hate and revenge.

BY THE WAY to all who dont know, Scar/Taka was in love with SARABI, so on top of all the daddy-loves-me-less crap, he also faced the heartbreak that lead to his even greater outrage and feeling of betrayal. So, in short, Scar/Taka sees his brother Mufasa as the cause for all of his misery. And the scar wasnt given by Musafa or Ahadi, Scar/Taka plotted to get his brother in trouble as a child and his mini-plot turned on him and left him with his scar.

Very well put together. Elfman's score were synced very nicely with the right pictures. Even the camera movements like zooming and panning really told the story through the pictures very well. A very nice compilation :)

This has always been my favourite Taka/Scar video! The art and the music go together so wonderfully! I also much prefer this version over him getting his scar from a water buffalo. It seems strange how Kovu got this scar from a slap and it looks the exact same as Takas scar don't you think? I'm pretty sure a water buffalo would leave more than a tiny little cut on his eye. Just my opinion.. Anyway, great video

ilovelions4life It actually was a buffalo. It's more canon than any other theory. The tip of the horn scratched Taka's eye, that's how. It happened when he set a trap for Mufasa, but failed badly. And if Taka's/Scar's father scratched him, it should've been more than one mark left :/ Kovu's scar by Zira was un-realistic. He only got a scar looking exactly like Scar's to show that he was supposed to help him get his revenge (tho Kovu didn't want this in the end)

This is just about what I've imagined Scar's childhood to be, ever since I saw the first movie. Good to see him getting a little justice (: He's my favourite character from Lion King, always has been, always will be!

Scar reminds me of Tigerstar because they both wanted power over their pride/clan. Scar made a death trap for Simba and Mufasa by having the Hyenas chasing the wilderbeast in the gorge so that he could become king, Mufasa was successfully killed but Simba survived. Tigerstar first wanted to be Deputy so he killed the former Deputy Redtail, then when he didn't find Deputy powerful enough, he wanted to become leader so he first tried to set a death trap for Bluestar on the Thunderpath (road) but failed, instead the medicine cat Cinderpelt (then an Apprentince for a warrior) fell for it instead but suffered from a crippled leg so she would never become a warrior, then during a battle with the rouge cats, he tried to kill Bluestar so he can become leader but Fireheart stops him so he's exiled from the clan, then he finds Shadowclan and gets what he wanted, to be a leader and gets his nine lives. They are the meanest characters alive and all they wanted was power, in order to get that power, they killed members that were the leader/king and then lied that someone else killed them or it was an accident. Basically, they weren't always so mean but because of their history they became evil.

Brookelyn Rhodes True, but Scar is better than Tigerstar. Tigerstar turned evil for a bad excuse. "Oh no daddy left to become a kittypet I hate him, and all kittypets! I better become leader!" He was just ambitous. And he had a prophecy that literally told that he should've died along with his siblings. Scar was just feeling replaced and unloved. He wanted to become leader so everyone would know of him. Tigerstar only wanted power Tho, this is just my opinion.

years of anger and hate and jealousy boiled inside deep down in scar until it snapped he was rejected by his father and he was hated so much to the point he killed his own father then years later his own brother you really can't blame scar for killing Mufisa after the turmoil he went through as cub. scar was the most powerful villain and out of every other Disney villain scar out dominates them all both in power and in strength

It's from Edward Scissorhands. It opens just as Peg drives up to the gates of Vincent Price's mansion. The musical change as Peg first sets eyes on Edward's sculpture garden was absolutely PERFECT for opening with Taka being held in Uru's arms. :)

Yes, Taka (which is Swahili for "dirt" or "trash") is the name that they gave Scar in the story "A Tale of Two Brothers". I ditched the original story since it didn't seem dramatic or traumatizing enough to poor little Taka, so I pumped it up a few notches. Glad you like it. :)

That was his name before his dad hit him ,he changed to to remember what he did wrong..And at the end of the first Lion King movie the little lion cub they show was named Tanabi at first but was later changed to Simba though there are a few famous Fanfiction novels out there that is based of the older lion cub Tanabi.

That was Aikachi. She came up with the interesting idea that Zira's introduction into the Lion King saga is exactly like her demise; drowning in a river. This not only gives Taka a chance to do something brave and heroic, but also gives Zira a reason for being as infatuated with him as she reveals herself to be in TLK2.

The name Taka is used in the book series "The Lion King: Six New Adventures". Taka's story describes how he got his life-altering scar, but it seems that most fans prefer him getting from his father like I have here. :P

@LEDanimator Before Lion King 2 came out on video, it was assumed that the cub at the end of the first Lion King was a boy. Therefore, when Disney released the books "The Lion King: Six New Adventures," they tell about Simba's son Tanabi. It was only later, when they made the second movie, that we found out the cub was actually a girl (Kiara). So it's Disney's own fault that everyone's so confused! :P

Before 'Simba's Pride' came along, there was a book that told the story of their son, Kopa (and another little story about Taka/Scar). I never read it, so I can't remember if it was the book itself or some fanfic that killed him off to make room for Kiara.

Taka/scar was not always evil he just didn’t get that much love and support form his family at least his mother tried to support taka but it was never enough taka/scar and mufasa used to be best friends until their father ahadi said that mufasa will be king then soon everything changed
