From one contractor to another, thank you for the videos. I’ve learned a lot from them. Curious on your spacing for the stringers. The manufacturer has their own recommendations. Is there a certain spacing you typically stick with?
@THEpremieroutdoor4 жыл бұрын
Glad the videos can help out a little bit!We stick with 16 oc for stringers, only product we have used 12 oc for is pvc

Stain green treated right away?
@THEpremieroutdoor4 жыл бұрын
The black stain is just to hide the framing behind the trim once we install that
@82hilljh2 жыл бұрын
I thinking of doing my own outdoor space. Why do you stain the wood black before adding the trim and decking?
@THEpremieroutdoor2 жыл бұрын
So you don’t see the framing in between the deck boards!
@Hutchy454454 жыл бұрын
Great video guys 👍. Does the building code down there, require you to use bigfoot moulding for your footings?
@THEpremieroutdoor4 жыл бұрын
It does not, but we now use helical pile footings which work really well!

Hi POL Crew, noticed that you guys are applying stain to fresh PT lumber. In previous videos as well. I assume that you would not do it unless you got good previous experience. As far as I know one is suppose to allow it some time to cure exposed under elements and then apply any stain or finish. Any words of wisdom on that? Is you lumber somehow special perhaps? Thanks in advance. 👽
@BorisYeltivinshki4 жыл бұрын
Its fine, you just get a higher quality finish if you let your wood sit for a season and then stain it. Doesn't matter for them as its their substrate
@splanzza4 жыл бұрын
Much appreciated!
@THEpremieroutdoor4 жыл бұрын
We started doing it years ago and always had great results. It’s important to sand the lumber and pick pieces that are pretty dry, if it’s still oozing wet it won’t work well
