I should've learned of the 12-year "Pig War" in school. I feel cheated of that important historical episode in my education. Seriously, I appreciate the historical facts you share with us viewers. Your interest in local history is always impressive and enlightening.

It’s funny how serious Johan looks while cutting Malin’s hair, other times under pressure he’s smiling or joking, but cutting her hair...dead serious, I guess he knows what’s important, nice job on both haircuts Johan!

As far as sailing videos go, you guys hike more than most. It adds another level to places many will never visit. It would appear that Malin forgot one of the rules of hiking. The first hiker get the spider webs. A wise hiker has a hiking stick or a Johan for the spider webs. ; )>

Your videos of the natural beauty and wildlife among the San Juan Achipelago (incl Gulf Islands) truly does justice to this area as one of the most beautiful, unspoiled sailing grounds in North America and the world. The wildlife is especially uplifting. Thank you..

How to make your boat quieter: Find surfaces on the boat that "drum" or "ring" when you tap on the surface with the end of your fingers. These are the surfaces that need a damping material. They are usually flat surfaces like bulkheads or storage compartments, any surface that is a solid part of the boat. Buy some short loop rubber backed rug at stores like WalMart and some all purpose silicone adhesive in a cartridge, a cartridge gun and a yellow handle tin snip. With the tin snips cut a piece of rug to fit the surface. Apply the silicone to the rubber side of the rug. Do not cover the whole surface but apply small thumbnail size buttons about 1/4 inch thick on about a 1 inch grid. This allows air space around each button so the silone can cure. Work quickly so you can apply the rug before the silicone skins over. It doesn't have to be pretty. Apply the rug to the surface pressing the rug smooth all over with your hands to make even contact. If you have a large vertical surface to cover, cut a piece of stiff corrugated cardboard the same size and shape as the rug piece, lay flat then rug on top, rubber up, then apply silicone. Then use the cardboard to help you tilt the rug up to the surface. Allow about a day for silicone to cure. Don't use on surfaces in the engine compartment. Fire could cause toxic gasses or support combustion. The more surfaces you cover, the quieter the boat gets. Worked for me.

That is my home, the area I grew up sailing, now I live 1,000 miles south, I got tired of being cold and wet. I've circumnavigated Vancouver Island twice, both the inside and the outside are enjoyable, albeit quite different.

Watching your wonderful videos in bed is the best ever start to our weekend. So much talent and beauty, we are so sad when they come to the end. We had a five year retirement adventure on our boat, only it was a narrow boat on the English canals, but still had to overcome the haircutting, including our dog, that's probably as close as we came to your adventure. Cheers Mac & Jacquie

Wow! I loved seeing Sucia island through your eyes. It’s one of my favourite destinations in the San Juan’s. My family and I have spent many hours sitting on that wooden bench watching the sunset and world go by. Although it’s hard to keep a 4 and 6 year old in one place for long! Thanks for the great videos, can’t wait to see what’s coming up next! Cheers 🍻 🇨🇦

(My family thinks I'm nuts😁) You guys are the best! 😉👍❤ Fantastic video's and a really interesting story in every episode. I have learned a lot about sailing and all the places you have visit. And I love your cool and calm personalities. You're a great inspiration for me, and im sure a lot of people. Keep up the good work 😉👍 The snow is still falling here in Hälsingland I Sweden, so you can imagine the impact your videos are doing on me. I have been working on a seismic vessel in Brazil and Caribbean sea for about 3 years between 2011-2014. And I love being out at sea. I hope that I can do something similar as you in the future. While you are in the states find a Sally Beauty Supply. Buy some hair cutting shears and a nylon hair cutting cape. It wont cost to much money and you will see a big difference in they cutting of your hair. They also have clippers with guides so you have a better cut. It would do your beard also. I think both of your hair looks good. These products if you buy them should last you many years. One trick is to NEVER use hair cutting scissors on paper or cloth. And always wash and line dry your cape. I am a hair stylist and you will not regret your purchase. Not sure what you use on the floor for easy clean up but a cheap plastic shower curtain works great. Love your videos. .

Yea Anytime from Sept. or Oct. is a great time to go. The kids are back in school, trailer boats with no heat are in the driveway, so it's pretty mellow. Usually have anchorages to yourself, or a just couple other boats. Evenings get a little cool, though.
