I would argue it was actually at 1:05 when we find out that Hank's attempt to impress the Bolivians with the bullet mailing had actually had EXACTLY the effect he hoped it would, because Hank and Cristobal are so well suited for one another.

Ok but cristobal must remember that the second agreement is don't take anything personally 🤷♀️
@payden0_0864 жыл бұрын
Ibth8nobhe skipped that rule and he needed to get revenge so his men would respect him for taking action.

He isn't taking it personally. It's simply the principle of the matter. Remember when Elliot Gould's Ocean's 11 character said "This sorta thing used to be civilized: you hit a guy, he'd whack you, done?"
@sethredmond34212 жыл бұрын
No he made the right call, agreement 2 doesn't mean to not stand up for yourself or others it's to not hold a grudge or support the notion of the one acting that "black magic" onto you. Kristobal is acting in the best interest of his colleagues, he's not taking it personally. Remember agreement 4 is always do your best, and what is best for himself and his people is to retaliate

After watching the latter half of Season 2, you can tell Barry's criminal arc was either a complete rejection or subversion of the same four agreements. 1. Be impeccable with your word (He threatens Fuches with death in the season 2 finale; proceeds to go to the temple and massacres most of them including his own mentee) 2. Don't take anything personally (Uses the anger from Fuches exposing him to his theater instructor as a vehicle to go on a massacre) 3. Don't make assumptions (Assumes everyone in the temple is a threat) 4. Always do your best (He's good at killing people) Some people will probably say this is a stretch, but I have a couple of theories in my head about the show right now and how some of the themes set up in Season 1 are perpetuating ideas that seem to be toyed with in very interesting ways (i.e, how each character seems to idolize a certain lifestyle or behavior that ends up overstepping on someone else's life)

That’s really cool perspective to add This show really is fantastic with how many ways you can interpret the actions of Barry and other characters
@gibberconfirm166 Жыл бұрын
A stretch but that's kinda fun. Similarly at the end of Season 2 when the gangsters are "Thomas Friedman cooperating," you could see Barry as "forces they don't even understand that they accidentally helped create" then completely fucking it up, like in Iraq.

@dynomar11 Жыл бұрын
All right, after reading the book, That's not what impeccable with your word means. It means to not sin against yourself. Speak without sin. Doesn't mean you have to kill a bunch of people because you told some people that you would.

Hank represented the life that Barry was trying to move away from. He also found Hank to not be efficient and an obstacle that wouldn’t go away. Hank weirdly just really liked Barry and it’s insinuated in season 1 that he was in love with Barry.
@edselgreaves65034 ай бұрын
Pretty sure he hated Hank in Season 1 because Hank brought the lipstick camera in the car to film shooting him, and that's what led Janice Moss to catch him, which is where all his trouble started.

the whole point of the mob bosses in this show, apart from Christobal, is that they are super amateurish and bad at keeping up a proffesional image. If you see it that way it makes total sense. "He is super nice guy" is also not something a mob boss would say
