Great info! I like April, October, November and December...biggest ones seem to come in the Fall, but I like fishing the creeks off the main lake when April rolls around for all the reasons you laid out.

Where I fish the best time is the last two weeks of June and the first two weeks of July shore fishing...they stop spawning around then and start eating and it gets too weedy after that. I can still catch them but I get blobs of weed all over my line and sometimes they get off

Here in East Tn.April is my best month.Big trophy striper fat with eggs.And all three species of catfish.Bait seems to be plentyful and easy to get.Also if i get burnout catching trophy fish i can go crappie fishing and do pretty good on them.

Dieter, how do you keep from getting snagged so much if you put your lines out without a bobber? A good part of the time within the last year that I started just putting a weight above my baits and casting it out for bottom fishing or to try and keep it at a certain depth, I end up getting snagged and then have to rerig a line right there or come with a few more ready. I used bobbers almost always all my life until this year past year because of what I see from others. so how do you not get snagged a lot especially when trolling?

I was slamming channels every single weekend last year at my large creek waterfall spot but i haven't pulled a single one out this year and have been going there weekly for the past month. The water has been higher but wat am i experiencing here and why?? 😢😢 Its been confusing! Please help

It's pretty good here year round , but I generally skip.late July thru early September , because it's absolutely miserable even at night . One thing I learned fishing creeks as a child is that disturbances in the water are not necessarily bite killers . Quite the opposite in a lot of cases , especially if the commotion stirs up food from the bottom or the banks . As irritating and annoying as the hordes of summer splash addicts are , you can use them to your advantage . Same holds true for commercial boat traffic . The bite often picks up after a barge passes by and the wakes wash food into the water .
