A good one by Alan. I think the earliest writings of Buddhism will be in Pali/Pakit. Sanskrit came later and still later came Classical Sanskrit which we have now. It's written in the dev nagri script which is around the 10th century I think. It may alter some meaning of certain words

Ok first, just as I was about to begin this statement, all the lights around me flashed off and then back on, so this comment which I debated on leaving, is meant to be. To blow out in Alan's perception isn't necessarily wrong nor right, but let's break down the point of breathing like Watts pointed out. To breathe in, is to fill up, take in..consume. To blow out is just the opposite of such actions. To blow out in breathing analogies, is to let go, release, detach, and is no longer you but a part of self was influenced at some point. Studying myself for a decade, I'm no where near this space consistently, but I have been in and out. Which leads me to something outside of this topic that's widely misperceived... Enlightened spaces does not mean you transcend suffering in any matter or form. It's the complete opposite with one shift in internal awareness. In the light is the end is Enlightened. Meaning that you are the awareness of every side of the coin, but that awareness that you trained your nervous system, body, mind, emotions, and spirit for, is that no matter the sum total of stimuli, your awareness does not waiver into one way or the other. That's why desire or want or need must no long be present because when this occurs, every desire is available at your reach. Buddha played a whole other game most may not be aware of, and that's the cat and mouse of awareness and detachment in every nanosecond. Anyway, if you read this far..cool..if not, that's cool too. This is my first ever KZbin comment, and hopefully my last, as I choose to observe and pivot...

How is following Buddha any different than following Jesus ? I wonder because you say all religions are a bust, but yet you're telling us about Buddhism. Mixed signals Mr.Watts
@KAKUPS-19727 ай бұрын
Buddhism shouldn't be classified under religion because it's not one. Alan Watts spoke about this in one of his lectures. Reason being is it doesn't adhere or conform to a strict set of beliefs &/or rules.... There is no right or wrong way. We each have a different path in life to walk based on the choices we make.
