The genius of The Buddha shines in how he was able to diagnose, determine the cause of, open the possibility to cease, and prescribe the medicine for suffering in so cogent a form. Then, he stands back and suggests we don't take his word for it. He must be unique in the world of the great spiritual teachers for this magnificent ability to reduce to essence the complexity involved in the problem of suffering.
