@@FedericoMalagutti yes indeed, I'm doing arming sword in artistic fight, but usually paired with a shield or with two hands as it is a one and a half sword. So happy you did this series, I've been watching your videos for a while and it's always great material for training

I don’t have any arming swords, but I do have a couple of Langes messers. I’m sure this video will still be useful all the same though.

About parrying. Should we do lunge after inside parring (guard what protect our left side) like in spot fencing or it should be shot attack?
@FedericoMalagutti2 ай бұрын
@@АртемМоисеев-ю1щ well, it depends from the opponent. If it’s close just extend the arm, if steps backwards then you may lunge.

@@FedericoMalagutti thank you, and another one question. When you swing sword for thrust, do you use fingers like in epee/rapier or only wrist?
@FedericoMalagutti2 ай бұрын
@ fingers are always part of the sword movement!

@@FedericoMalagutti thank you and, well, one interesting idea. Would it be useful if we hold tip of sword on one point like in German fencing school?

How much would you say that this differs from regular sidesword stuff?
@FedericoMalagutti2 ай бұрын
@@jocamar15 as I already stated in the first episode. The difference is relatively marginal. Arming sword and Sidesword are similar in use by a good 90%. Dueling Saber and arming sword a good 80%. Anyway, differences are there, sword grip, and resulting leverage, the average length and weight of this weapons and many other things result in a slightly different way of moving.
