The Four Seasons Interview 1965

An interview with Frankie and Tommy on WHUC radio. I don’t own this audio, just uploading it to share with others. Also I made this video with some stupid app on my phone, it made me add some photos but then wouldn't let me anymore so that's why half of the video is a black screen. No one will probably even read this anyways who cares

Do you have any other videos of interviews with Tommy speaking? He was my grandfather (my mom’s father), this is the first time I am ever hearing his regular speaking voice from back during the days in the band. Hearing this is so special to me, thank you so much for putting this video online. I would love to talk more if you’re interested!!

This is a very revealing interview session. Tommy was the comedian with a voice in the background. Frankie sounds like the main spokesman. Hard to tell where Bob was speaking. Nick had the deep voice and referenced the arrangements and changing the sound. The remarks on English vs American performers was interesting. Also, the statement on the record companies controlling what was released sounded like the group wasn’t happy with that. They did change record companies along the way.

Frankie obviously didn't like the UK scene [or many of the groups......grudingly the Beatles] and was very wrong re US songs being not played in the UK...they got played a lot.....although the BBC did control radio but most people listened to radio Luxembourg or the Pirate Ship radio stations.......many thanks for sharing

No, this interview is with Tommy DeVito. He even identified himself as “lead guitarist” and said “Frankie plays drums.”

Frankie's comments slamming English performers (read: British Invasion artist) caught me totally off guard. Sounds like professional jealousy. C'mon Frankie - buck up, and sing "Let's Hang On" for us. We'll stick with you guys forever.

That sounds like Nick Massi based on his knowledge of cords, etc. Interesting that he mentioned they were changing to a “softer style.”
