That was class of them to mention Nick Massi. He was responsible for arranging their glorious harmonies behind Frankie's soaring lead vocals until 1965. A very underrated musical genius and fantastic melodic bass player too. R.I.P Nick Massi and now Tommy Devito and Joe Long. Long live the Jersey Boys 🎸

Just seen Frankie Valli at Mohegan Sun 4/22/22. First concert ever. Regret I didn’t see him with my Dad. All the music was a throw back to my Dad playing the music. The music gave me goosebumps and emotion that was hard to restrain. Glad I was able to see the man behind the voice!!!

I was born and raised in Red Bank, New Jersey and was honored to be a professional musician for 17 years which were one of the best times of my life. I worked for the Garden State Parkway at 19 years old and left in 1978 to join the Navy where I spent 17.3 years and retired in 1995 as a Legalman 1st Class Petty Officer. My last gig was with Nicky Addeo who sang for Danny Di Veto's birthday party and who is still working today and has made a name for himself and appears on KZbin. To see Frankie and the Four Seasons inducted in the NJ Hall of Fame, makes me so very happy that another one of the many talents has come from the State I was born and raised in. I offer my my undying love for you and The Four Seasons. May Peace, love and togetherness follow you for all of the days of your lives.

And 2 years later, we lost Joe too. I had the pleasure of interviewing Frankie & Bob in '87 for American Top 40 with Casey Kasem & they were so generous with their time & very honest.

Michael Bongo I could not have said that any better!!!! The 4 Seasons were the first band to write their own songs and play their own instruments while scoring three number records in a row. FYI - Frankie Valli and the Four Season was the name used(during the early 70’s)post Four Season(original members). They’re the ones who performed “Oh What A Night”, “Who Loves You”. They are not the ones being inducted. The original members, plus Joe Long are.

These guys are living legends and are one of the most successful bands in music history. Oh and yes BANDS!!!! They were self contained, did their own writing and played their own instruments. I say this because at times they are referred to as a vocal group. The 4 Tops are a vocal group, which I enjoy very much, but Valli DeVito Gaudio Massi Long are a self contained BAND and one of the most successful musical entities today, own the rights to just about everything they have produced. Can’t say that about Elvis or the Beatles or Beach Boys or many other top bands.
@doctorfeinstone6524

Why can't you say it about the beach boys? The 4 seasons had at least 50 people drift in and out of the group as members. The beach boys for the most part kept the same 5 guys throughout their lifespan

Bruce Springsteen, Queen Latifa, Whitney Houston are all great stars. But not as great as Supergroup Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons. They were the first group to have 3 # 1 hits in a row; they were America's main challenge to Beatlemania and the British Invasion of 1964 and they had more hits and sold more records than any artist of the 1960s except for the Beatles and Elvis Presley.

Just saw this my mother-in-law sister is married to Tommy or my wife’s uncle anyway a funny story about him , I came home one day and he my wife her sires my father-in-law’s were in the kitchen playing and singing songs, he was leading them, I was walking up the back way and thought they had a radio on or stereo, I was shocked when I got in and saw them it sounded amazing to this day I remember it. He could really get them in tune , now your answer, he was out having fun with long time friend Joe. The one from you know home alone guy. He is though now really aged . Hanging in there . Your comment made me think of him. He really was a nice guy, or still is. Get a chance look up Thorson Moore Sarasota, my daughters boyfriend for 20 years . Guitarist .

Did I hear the announcer correctly? They had 50 hits, but only sold one million albums? . . Vanilla Ice, only had one hit, but sold a lot more than one million albums.
