Dan, I have been browsing Amazon for hours, and whenever I thought I found my perfect juicer and I was ready to check out, I get a new suggestion, and it’s an entirely new type of juicer and I would spend another hour looking at the new suggestion, so I was getting very frustrated with Amazon. I was very confused until I came across your videos. Thank you! Your work is much appreciated.

Awesome informative video. It’s the best video about the various types of juicers. Question ? If you were buying the best twin gear for yourself and having all the information and knowledge you have about the few manufactures of this juicers which one would you purchase? Omega, Angel or the other elite green elite pro? Your suggestion would mean a lot to me. I feel it would be better nutrition content & it would certainly an investment for many years to come. Am I correct in thinking this way?
@euJUICERScom Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you found the video to be helpful. Regarding the twin gear juicers, the nutrition content wouldn't be better than a good single auger slow juicer, especially since the twin gear juicers run at a higher rpm. The main benefit of the twin gear juicers is the higher juice yield. But of course that comes at the cost of complexity in use and cleaning. I would stick with the Angel or Greenstar, depending on your budget, and avoid the small twin gear juicers. Alternately you could consider a good single auger horizontal juicer, like the Sana 727, which comes close to the yield of a twin gear juicer.

Gosh I love my Sana 727! Thank you for your video using it to make almond milk. I used the same method to make pumpkin seed milk today with whole pumpkin seeds saved from a pumpkin and it came out so well! Additionally, fresh pumpkin/apple juice is a lovely thing! (We had a volunteer vine this year!)

Hi Dan, Thumbs up & Subscribed. Where / how does the Champion juicer fit in your categorization? I guess the "single horizontal auger" category would be its closest category, but not exactly. I have used Champion for biweekly juicing for over 40 years. My 1st Champion died at about 20 years. My current & 2nd Champion is still fully functional. My major usage is carrots ( over the 40+ years probably 10 tons of carrots) , but as long as I chop celery & fibrous greens it works fine for most everything. Its huge motor runs at high RPM, and its auger's "teeth" both shreds, and squeezes the pulp out thru its juice juice screen. It would seem it has the best of most all pros of the juicer types you feature, & the least of the cons. What say you Dan? Thanks PS. I since watched your EU clips Parts 1 & 2 re. Champion. Your probable answer to my above Q will be best depends on your particular usage? I would say the Champion is of course great for root veges. But except for wheat grass the Champion does OK with most greens too, even without Champion's now special attachment for wheat grass. I will be ordering at least their coarser mesh screen for pulpier fruit juice.

Hi Ron, The Champion is really like nothing else on the market. It's almost like someone combined a juicer with a blender. I suppose technically it would be classified as a single auger horizontal, although it predates any other horizontal jucier by many years. I wrote an article a few years back about the Champion - you can see it here: www.eujuicers.com/magazine/what-if-a-juicer-and-a-blender-had-a-baby

Thanks for doing this video! Super informative. I couldn't help notice that the juicers with hydraulic presses (such as the Pure, or even the M-1 from goodnature) aren't represented here. What is the difference in juice quality between the Angel 7500 and the Pure, for example? I know with centrifugal juicers, you end up with lower nutritional value and the pulp separates. What is the difference in nutritional value between the Pure and the Angel? Does one juice last longer than the other? Does hydraulic pressed juice sepate less than juice from dual auger machines? Thanks for your help!
@euJUICERScom Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately there are no hydraulic press juicers (besides small manual ones) available here in Europe. They were available here in the past, and we have some limited experience with them. In my opinion, the nutritional quality would be higher in the Angel because of the grinding stage that hydraulic presses require. It's typically a high-speed, high-rpm process, similar to a blender. It's likely that higher oxidation would occur during this stage compared to the slow process in the Angel. Regarding the separation, there should be almost no separation in either juicer. The pure will make a slightly clearer juice, as the filtering process is much finer than a masticating juicer like the Angel. But both machines will make excellent quality juice.

It seems press juicers (not covered in this video) produce darker juice as compared with twin gear. I am not sure if this is b/c of a more complete extraction, or more oxidation due to 2 stage process and pressing through fine cloth. It seems they also yield less than top-tier (Angel) twin gear juicers, although I have wondered if this may be due to macerated material left in the feed chute (this has to be rinsed free with juice and then pressed). I have also wondered how vacuum blended produce pressed in a press cloth or nut milk bag would fare against a press and an Angel. Thoughts? Make the videos?

Dan, what’s your opinion on Nama J2 Cold Press Juicers? All the Nama products are pricey, but they look impressive. I wanted your opinion. Thank you in advance,
@euJUICERScom2 жыл бұрын
I haven't tested the J2, as it isn't widely available where we are. But I've tested the juicer upon which it is based. It's a well-made machine. These self-feeding juicers are designed for convenience. They juice much more slowly than a manually fed juicer, but depending upon what you are juicing, you only need to refill the hopper once so you can do other things while it works. It's still better to precut bigger items of produce with them - you'll fit more things in and make it easier on the machine. And some things like carrots and celery will need to be cut just to fit in.

Well, I love carrot juice, maybe apples now and then, otherwise, that's it. It may sound weird to you lol, but whenever I feel my eyes are troubling me, I drink carrot juice for a few weeks, and I'm back to 20:20. I have proven it by going to an eye doctor before and after. Idk, maybe it's just me, I may sound nuts, but at age 50 and my job to be staring at a computer monitor for over 12 hours a day, it hasn't let me down yet. Which juicer would you recommend for me? If you would please give me your opinion, brand, and model number, I would greatly appreciate it. I'll know exactly what to purchase. I have the Jack LaLanne Centrifugal juicer, but I don't like it much. After juicing, the cleaning is enough to discourage me from not using it. Not to mention the mess it makes during juicing. Again, Thank you in advance, My Regards,

@@brooklynbensonhurst9701 I love carrot juice too - it's so tasty. I made a video all about juicing carrots, and compared the four main jucier types just with carrots, so you might find that helpful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYqxep93obNspZo Since you're looking at Nama, I assume you are in the USA. I would consider the Sana 727, the Omega NC800, or either of the Nama juicers. Just make sure to check the warranty lengths, as it can vary according to the seller.

Thanks for the video. The twin auger, stainless seems like the best design. However, that price is a shocker. Are there any others that have a similar design that cost closer to $400?

There are smaller twin gear juicers under 500€ from Vidia and Omega, although the performance and ease of use is nowhere near an Angel or Greenstar.

Should fruit (like apples, oranges) have to be deseeded before putting them into juicers? I don't want the seeds crushed and the seeds' insides mixed with the juice. Removing seeds from apples is easy, but removing seeds from oranges will be a pain. Thank you.
@euJUICERScom2 жыл бұрын
It's up to you. In some cases, the seeds can add a little nutrition. But usually there is little moisture in the seeds and they will be ejected along with the pulp. Apple seeds do contain trace amounts of cyanide, so if you are making a lot of apple juice, it's a good idea to remove them.
