It isn't. Saturday is. The Catholic church changed it hundreds of years ago to display their authority. I have said this for years and nobody can answer it. I feel like nobody cares and it is important to get it right. Great question!

From my understanding Saturday is the sabbath but Sunday is the lords day. However don’t take my interpretation as gospel I could be wrong.

I always found it interesting that when God gave the law, this was the only commandment that He began with “Remember”! Perhaps as He knew it would be forgotten!
