The British FV721 Fox is an armored car designed for reconnaissance, and Gaijin added it to War Thunder in the most recent update. It is only armed with the RARDEN autocannon, but it is so fast it can dictate any engagement. The APDS is also surprisingly good. It might just be the epitome of a rat tank.

For some reason APHE or any frag ammo do disproportionate damage See the comparison between the 40mm swedish bofors *AA* gun and the 2pdr *dedicated AT gun* For some reason the bofors behaves like a 50mm APHE even if it fires incendiary frags

@@svidentkyrponos7530 swedish bofors SAP has 1.8x the filler of the british 40mm APHE, and also has 1.3x the filler of the german 50mm. if you want to really see weirdly behaving APHE, just play with any italian 47mm gun tanks. despite the APHE only being 47mm with only 30g, it does more damage than the US 75mm APHE

absolutely, rarden apse is so fun and stealthy, always my go to round cos rather fire a non-tracer round to swap to apds than fire a apds-t one to swap to stealthy bois. so much fun to side snipe leos and chinese/russian cancer mobiles at 8.0-10.0 while others cant even see where your rounds came from.

@@Jason-jb1vs Yes, and it one shots leopards, and it one shots other vehicles too, but its first strike utility is less compared to the APDS, and it can be finicky on slopes, for example I struggled against the Wiesel despite being a light vehicle because of its 60 degree sloped front armour, which APDS cares much less about.

The Rat-20 is the sad unloved stepchild of the British tree. It also lives in a weird bermuda triangle of complaints where people that fight you cry about it having ATGMs at 6.7 and British mains cry about the giant, slow school bus mobility, school bus armor, and the turret being essentially useless except for aircraft and open tops.

I'm fairly certain that Gaijin added a mechanic where you don't have to die to get into the nuke you can just press a button to get straight in, and if you die in the nuke plane you go back to your tank. You can see it at 12:40 in the video.

I really don't get all the hate for the warrior. Sure it doesnt have the fastest firing cannon, and no stabiliser (which isnt a huge issue given the guns otherwise great handling) but as shown in this vid, it hits like a truck. The upgraded armour package lets it survive most HEAT and autocannon rounds fired at it, its reasonably fast, has excellent thermals and the missiles are good with their only downside being a 2km range. Its definitely a rough tank before getting the APDS and thermals, but once spaded its an absolute monster. 8.3 Britain is probably my favourite lineup in the game, and the warrior plays a big part in that.

Oh by the way. The AMX M4 is probably the best french tank at 6.7. The 90mm gun is very good, it has surprisingly decent armor and despite appearances it's pretty fast. Turret has -10 degree gun depression and the reaload is pretty quick. It's like the french tier 4 experience but without the paper armor and without facing stabilized tanks with APFSDS. Highly recomended

@9:10, the reason you "lagged" is due to gaijin's poor terrain and object destruction mechanic. for you, there was no cobblestone wall there. for the client, there was. so the client registered it and acted like you ran through it, but for you it was invisible, already destroyed. I don't know why this happens, I'm not technical enough for that. I have this happen very often with trees.
