I'm having a hard time getting genuine followers on Instagram and Facebook. A lot of my followers are friends, some family and mainly other jewelry businesses and stone sellers. I would love to promote a new collection but most my items don't sell as is :(

Hi Jessica, yes this is a common issue! You are definitely not alone! In my course I teach you step-by-step how to go about building your audience in an organic way so that it is filled with fans not just people who are not interested in buying your jewellery. You should unfollow people who aren't your customers, such as other jewellery stores. Then you should follow as many people as you can that would be interested in your stuff.
