A quick tip if anyone is doing this now. Make sure you unlock the Aurora: Awakening collection before you do this, and same wiht Vision 1. These are two other legendaries from Season 3 and Season 4 that require similar challenges in the same zones. I didn't do this and now I have to go back and do a bunch of stuff again in season 3 because Aurora has a specific thing you have to do to unlock the collection.

Just want to thank you for this comment. It made me not only starting the other two collections, but also made sure I didn't have to go back places twice, specially Draconis Mons. Managed to finish Prismatic yesterday and Aurora today (in grand part due to this comment and the insane amount of currency the achievement for Prismatic gave me).

"Pro tip" for Siren' Landing. You don't need to wait whole day to get to Reliquary. It have cooldown on character, not on account. So just simply do 4 hearts, go to reliquary, loot the chest, swap character and do it again. By the time i did that it works.

I did this a while ago while doing a full, second story run with a new character. This was for me real fun and yes, a lot of synergies with other collections / achievements someone want to have - i.e. Skyscale, ascended backpacks / trinkets etc ... Totally recommended! ... Addition - if you want to grind it out as fast as possible this is probably not a lot of fun or "literally free". If you enjoy playing the game, exploring the maps, side stories, lore ... , doing different things in open world, then it is an exzellent experience.

For anyone interested in crafting legendaries, or just looking for value in this aside from the amulet, a 32 slot bag costs around 300 gold to make (for the cheapest one) and you get one for free, 250 of every map currency takes forever to farm and can greatly help you in crafting aurora, or getting the skyscale, or you can just eat them for a ton of unbound magic which can be traded in for trophy boxes which are worth a lot of money. mystic clovers are only good for crafting legendary gear but are valued at around 10 gold each. If you're not interested in crafting a gen 3 legendary weapon check the prices of the precursors in the top most are worth over 100 gold, you also get chests that either unlock a weapon skin or give you 8 mystic coins each. As of right now mystic coins are about 80 silver and you get multiple chests per zone. If you plan on working on this I would suggest doing 1 return to achievement at a time, they released 1 a week and over that time frame it was pretty easy each one only took a couple of hours.

Tip if you want to replay the story the fastest: You don't need to follow it in order, just finish all instances. Use the purple "replay for achievement" stars and just do them. If a story instance has multiple checkpoints you can totally start on the last checkpoint. You just have to finish the instance, not do everything.

This is my favorite kind of stuff in the game. I came back after a 10year hiatus and I'm finding so much to do, it's like I have a brand new game. Doing the Lion's Arch Exterminator collection was similar in finding so many hidden parts of a the Lion's Arch Zone that you get this sense of how insanely big this game is. The fact that there are so many nooks and crannys and Arenanet is proud to make you seek these lesser viewed places. Achievements like these making you do events, puzzles, stories are just what makes this game so beyond anything else. Love your videos, been watching a bunch since coming back and enjoying the tips and tricks!

One note for the thunderhead peaks event tip: if you actually play through the entirety of the story again (not just the purple stars) one step will get you into that room (not instanced) you can just repeat it there without issue or need for mesmers or tp to friends. Word of advice: if you have not gotten Aurora or Vision yet, if you're going for this amulet, working on the accessory at the same time is a very good idea. Many of the required steps are common to both, and amulet gives all the currencies you need as well. I never did those two until this came out, and it made it much less painful.

I used this achievement to help me get back into the game after a 2 year hiatus and now i'm working on legendary armor from WvW! I honestly hope they put more of these for other trinket slots in the future so people can enjoy this kind of adventure without the massive gold cost that comes with most legendary crafting. The time investment easily makes up for the gold you would have spent. As a note for the Second Response missions and doing End Conjecture: When you go and talk to Taimi and Gorrik after everything is completed you will find that you need to start the dialog with them multiple times because you did all of the "second response" missions in a row so they have a lot to say. It's not a bug that they don't give you End Conjecture credit immediately, they just want to comment on your past...a lot.

What really surprised me when I really started digging in to this was how many return to achievements I was only missing one diving goggles or complete 20 quests away from finishing. So For anyone who has done the living world stories but hasn't dug into this you may be much closer to getting it than you realize.

When I saw this guide, this motivated me to finally finish this achievement in 3 days. I kept putting this in the back burner for months until I got fed up buying amulets for some of my characters since I use different builds, especially I had to tank in raids. Anyways, most of the achievements overlap with aurora and vision, so some season 3 and 4 cheevos were already done by the time I resumed my journey for this legendary. I was working on both trinkets when Return to cheevo was released. As usual, Muk, thanks for the great and straightforward guide. Now, I'll have to continue my journey to get conflux-400 plus skirmish tickets and I will get another ball collection lol!

Same after this in this order was Pharus, Ad inf both before EOD, Aurora last month then Finally Vision on fathers day when someone in my guild gave me 100 gold given im a single dad as a fathers day gift. Given i not only took in my biological son after ex died but exes daughter after her dad rejected her. On fathers day dude asked me what was missing on vision i replied the 100 icy runes. Right after that got a mail with 100 g saying happy fathers day. The necklace is a very good leggie given can swap the enrichments at will i often swap between magic find in pve and the reward track thing in wvw. If dont like pvp or kinda broke like me this is a great first leggie if got all the LW stuff and can knock a lil at a time. One day i want to make two of the wvw rings and maybe the wvw armor given im kinda scared to get into raiding given i have aspergers. After that will likely make a hammer for my ranger given i like Untamed for my main.

Just a warning to people looking to start this. Legendary items turn into pringles once you get one. I went from thinking I'd never have any because I didn't see the point due to having full ascended, to having this necklace, a full set of light armor, 5 weapons with another almost done and needing clovers for a seventh, Warbringer, Aurora, and having everything but the tickets for dual Conflux with one of those two being done next week. It gets into the mindset of, "well I already have this, why not go for that one too? And since I'm already playing this game mode for gifts of battle, I might as well go for the back, rings, and armor since I'll be playing for months anyway." Great way to constantly have a goal for the game though. You always have something you can do.

The Return to... series of achievements are great! Specially for Season 4 (lots of maps mats and mystic coins). Allowed me to easily get Skyscale! Not to mention made Aurora easier, since to complete map masteries was a breeze, since I already had lots of achievements done due to the Return to!

This was an excellent thing to do as a player returning since Heart of Thorns (had a quick playthrough of Path of Fire) Caught me up on the story, plus loads of achievements and the precursor (soon-to-be Aurene’s Fang) and legendary amulet were a great bonus. Salvaging all my ascended amulets was so freeing

Two things: One is that having a skyscale makes some of the later stuff much less frustrating, but it's still doable without it. The Dragon's End champs and the Drizzlewood Cache Keepers will frequently, but not always, die before you can get there if you haven't got a skyscale. The other is that Abaddon's Ascent is my favorite (non-seasonal) jumping puzzle and not that hard. Try doing it the honest way first!

Wow! I knew there were a lot of steps to complete this project, but damn, I had no idea it was this many. The rewards are good, and getting a Legendary Amulet, plus a weapon precursor, is probably going to motivate me to work on this, but I almost fell asleep just watching and listening to this huge list of achievements needed to complete this to the end. Edit: Of course another reason I almost fell asleep is because I've been up all night browsing YT for news and GW2 videos and it's now 9am.

It's really not that bad, if you make it through the story including living worlds and get 100% map completion on one character, and give the LW maps metas a run esch you really are most of the way there. I mean that's a lot of work, but it is mostly just playing through everything on one char

Speaking as the mesmer that helped Mukluk and 50 other dudes do Chalice of Tears, there are usually mesmers around that can help. I'll happily port people I've seen miss some jumps as I'm climbing it myself. Its long and the path isn't obvious, but taking your time is the biggest factor. Once you hit checkpoint 1 (the second one after the lava) you can easily just sit there and look up a path.

Chalice of Tears broke me. For the Draconis Mons puzzle I happened to have a guildie offering free ports one day but I was determined to do Chalice, or so I thought. I didn't have a rewinder at the time and wound up naked with all my armor broken after taking numerous dips in the lava. I ended up piggybacking on a mesmer train to the top after pushing my blood pressure to the limit. Oof, reminds me of that Mario mod where there's no floor.

Muk: I have many Legendaries as you can see here, that is not a flex I'm just explaining. Also Muk every 4 seconds: I HaVe A gUiDe FoR tHaT. Jokes aside, here is a small detail for the Domain of Istan Bounty hunter acievements: Sometimes the bounties will be fake-out and you will be ambushed by joko's minions, back when I did the achievement those ambushes didn't count for the achievement and since there is only 1 Bounty board in the map you may have to switch instances to try again if you are very unlucky.

Also worth pointing out that, while it's one of the longer time commitments in terms of active play time among legendaries, it's also probably the least time gated (outside of S1 weapons which you can just buy). The only thing in the entire achievement that can't be done in one day is the reliquary caches achievement. If you're like me and can't stand dailies, this is easily the easiest legendary in the game.

I'm slowly working through it now. I am from Australia so it is often pretty dead in my timezone which makes some things hard to do. I have done all of S2,S3 so far. I'm working on season 4 but some parts of it are really rough, bounties are tough unless you can get a group so many of the maps are dead though... I managed to do the 12 bounties in Sandswept isle by fighting Old Stonehoof solo over and over again, pretty proud of that. Me and one other guy also did the entire Speciman chamber event by ourselves, it was pretty excited actually, some of the most nail biting combat I've had playing GW2, both of us were in down state at various points in the chamber fight and my adrenaline was pumping... Finding people for the meta events on some of the maps is pretty painful. It took many tries to get Death Branded Shatter done (No one was running the map) and at the moment I am struggling to do the Oil Flow meta event in Thunderhead Peaks.

You might have to wake up a bit earlier or stay up a bit later to catch some of the more closer to peak times. Think 4 or 5pm est is 6am/7am aussie time, might have better luck with some events that way like drakkar. Reset time is usually another good time to catch some of these metas. I know I had to switch my usual playing time to get alot of them done since those maps are dead lol

I had to wait for the weekend to get some other events like Vinewrath in Silverwastes so I'm optimistic I can catch some more populated maps in the LWS4 episodes then. I used to play Eve Online so I did some 5AM starts for things in that game to catch the US crowd, I'll save that for if I get desperate...

@@MuklukKZbin Yes, similar time zone here and some tasks were a pain to get groups. Your daily day advice worked well for me when I did it just before EoD dropped. Flexibility becomes important as some tasks are better put aside until you can change your play time (weekend or holiday) to find a more lively time for the NA or EU servers. Beating your head on the desk because LFG and chat are dead for 2 hours does little for your sanity. Move on until you can get on at a different time, then prioritize it. Worth noting that DBS often filled a single group and could not manage the numbers for a second, making it SEEM like a dead time until you catch that the dedicated people were filling up the first map early. Went from three fails in a row to 3 easy clears in a row just by checking LFG 30 minutes early. Bounties also took a LONG time and there were others really getting down about the slog of finding people on some of the LS4 maps. Eventually we hit a critical mass and just went start to finish for an afternoon clearing everyone's remainders. TLDR: you aren't going to stay sane treating it like a sequential list. Pick things off where you can and adapt to different times/circumstances as needed

19:20 Re-playing mission from scrying pool doesn't work for me. I re-played first-one "Choose an entry into Aurene's vision of the past (forgring steel)" 2 times, as private squad and public and i didn't get "back to the past" achivement. When I click on second option "Experience a vision of your past adventrues" I am getting pink crystal effect around my screen and nothing happens. The rest two dialogue options in scryiing pool are invisible for me. Do you know what am i doing wrong?

you dont actually need season 2, if you have a friend that can open the instances for you. you still get the story achievements if someone else opened, and you can access the areas without having season 2.

If your friend has already completed the story, they should be able to reactivate the chapter, which gives them purple markers on the map. Those allow you to reopen all the instances of the story, so the friend wont need to do the talking in between

So if you haven't played all this content, you basically have to keep half an eye open on the achievement for the map you are currently playing through and will complete these by accident (and a little ore / wood farming). Neat.

another tip for the diving goggles in draconis mons: you can grab the goggle and an oakheart essence for the grappling skill at the same time (1 is sitting around a few steps off for people going to the jumping puzzle). if you then just avoid hitting rocks on the way down you just need to make it into range of the bucket instead of precisely into the bucket, as long as you target the bucket while still in midair with the vine skill you will be flung inside safely and it should still count. I'm just not sure if the order in which you pick up the essence and goggles matters, so if picking up the essence removes the goggles effect (aka you're suddenly wearing your normal armor again) or picking up the goggles removes the oakheart essence skills just pick it up in the other order.

Friendly reminder to more casual and even newer players that this meta-achieve is a *serious* grind so it's 100% okay and even encouraged to take breaks in between lest you burn out! And for my fellow shy and anxious people, using map chat may be daunting but very useful for farming the events and doing difficult content like metas/bounties. Even if you think your map is lesser occupied, it wouldnt hurt to (mentor)tag up/and broadcast an event to let other players know and get some extra help!

Hubby and I just returned to GW2 after 5 years hiatus. We're currently doing Living Story Season 4 and are doing the collection items for the Vision for each map. Just wondering, should we rush through all the story up to the Amulet unlock and then go back and do Vision or is it better to do Vision first and then do Amulet? Personally I would prefer not doing things too many times repeatedly but I also don't want to rush my way through the story.

The Champion’s Prismatic Regalia was my first legendary item, followed shortly by my successful completion of Kudzu. I’m now less than 150 Mystic Coins away from completing Aurora, and then just need to grind another set of Clovers and Coins and Vision will be completed. I now also have plans to make Aurene’s Claw and the two legendary rings.

I did this achievement when it was first released over several months but I just like to listen to you explain stuff. Many of your guides helped me during my playtime. The only downside for new players could be the cost of acquiring the living world seasons. Sure, you can grind gold and by them with the gems but I dont believe new players would have the patience to grind gold in oder to buy gems and a considerable amount at that.

A couple of times a year gem store codes go on sale on amazon and best buy, and also living world goes on sale once or twice a year, combining the two results in some pretty hefty savings if you are willing to spend some money instead of grinding gold to get the living world seasons.

Tiny issue with Vemyen - I'm just now watching this. In order to spawn Vemyen you have to talk to Ziya near the bounty board in Jahai Bluffs. An orange event dot will be visible on the map near the bounty board when this is ready to go. Be sure to have a few friends with you - you can't solo this event chain with ease.

I only got my first 2 legendaries (Bolt and Juggernaut) in the last 10 days, after playing on and off since Beta/Launch and about 2,1k hours... but while I haven't done this one here yet, I think all Legendaries should be (able to be) acquired like this (no costs, simply doing a lot of different things across the world; not sure if I like replaying the story, but still). That huge cost sink, especially in materials is crazy. Or at the very least, there should be not-as-shiny-legendaries, but still with the other benefits (account wide use, stat changing etc.).

My question is, do I need to buy something from Hobbs before starting this collection - regarding the other legendaries, or can I jump straight into it and start to buy recipes afterwards whenever I'll want to start them? Ironically, this guide has actually motivated me to finish EoD. Then I can guilt free take and alt through all this stuff (been procrastinating that stuff for almost a decade now). Like others have said, that'll give a good opportunity to also work on the other legendary accessories, and the time involved will let some more mats build up for either those or one of the G3 legos. living world are like dlcs that add a little more content, but unlike expansions you can buy them with in game gold instead of RL cash if you wish to. If you decide to get them (with any method) you can still do what is described in this video to get the legendary amulet

Great guide! The only this that would improve it would be a few disclaimers on the less popular zones. Doing these achievements half a year after they were released reveals a sad picture. If you're not playing at prime time (like me, a European on NA servers), then doing some of the group events in the older and less popular maps is borderline impossible. Draconian Mons, Ember Bay, Lake Doric, hell even Istan that used to be THE farming map 24/7 -- are all dead and abandoned most of the time. And you can't do some of these big events with 5 random players. So yeah, while some of this stuff is pretty easy to jump in on like Silverwastes or Dragonfall, not all is the same. Especially, after this much time has passed and these achievements aren't this new hot thing anymore.

My biggest tip on those: each day there is a rotating "season 3 zone of the day" in the achievement panel that has a bunch of daily achievements, which brings a lot of people to the zone. Same for season 4. If you check those you can see which zones will have the most people each day for when you need meta events.

I wish there was grinds like this for all other legendary trinkets or some version of them. Do i really need to go get aids in pvp or fall asleep in wvw trying to get em? Lets not start on trying to get into raiding for the armor as a returning player that played last time before raids were a thing.

Also do not attempt to try to get too the lake dorik meta event boss and wait if you like your keyboard not snapped in half and even if you do make it they will shoot you out of the sky best is just making your way over there when there are other people

What are you talking about, i was in a group of 20 over ppl and everyone was fine. They only shoot you once every min or so. You do not fall or die from your skyscale in 1 hit 😂

A tip: the Return To's will have you completing a LOT of the same content needed for both Aurora and Vision. It's definitely worth it to start both trinkets' collections before you start on the amulet, so as to minimize the amount of stuff you have to do twice. (And save the LWS3/4 materials you get showered with! You'll be glad to skip farming them for your Skyscale or legendary trinkets.)

Just a tip, nothing pro about it, but if you get to a point that you need help there are frequently commanders tagged up on the maps in jumping puzzles to help you get there or to teleport to a friend if needs must!

This is a long shot cry for help on this one ... Did it all and got to the final piece ... End Conjecture. And Taimi and Gorrik are nowhere to be found! For now trying to redo all of Episode 5 of Icebrood Saga, possibly my least favourite part of the game but I am not holding out any hope that that will change anything; after all I did it all twice already on two different characters! Has similar happened to anyone else and if so did you manage to resolve it?

I even tried submitting a Ticket and got a response (which was a nice surprise :)) but they couldn't help beyond suggesting what I am already doing - with the suggestion that I submit a bug report if it doesn't clear up.

Righty ho - redid all of Episode 5 of IBS and that sorted out the glitch and put Taimi and Gorrik back in place. And I now have my Legendary Amulet :D It would have been nice NOT to have to redo all those Strikes with no rewards but, given that I don't do Strikes often, I shall treat it as training :)
