This is when freestyle was in! The partying we typically did. Then the cruising in Whittier California. The low riders, mini trucks with hydralics! Noel had borrowed my VHS camcorder that day!

To all the Mexicans in Whittier, I want to say thank you. I miss you so much! Thanks for the wonderful memories. I'm Arabic living in Jordan now. While I was in school, I met some of the coolest people in Southern California, mostly Mexican Americans that showed me so much love (especially the girls) . The cruising Whittier Blvd to Mr. Jays in El Monte. Thanks for the fun and freindship. Back then our cultures got along great, I pray the next Arabic kid that ends up in Whittier makes freinds with good Mexican people like I did. Mexicans are hard working good people. I'm married with children now, when I tell the stories of Whittier and the pretty girls, my son wants to study in California now. Take care of my boy. Greetings from Jordan.

Making generalizations like that makes you sound idiotic. At any time of the day there will be young people out at the mall, park, etc. All you older folk over exaggerate technology usage. Older generations always talk shit on newer generations, it's ALWAYS been that way. Your parents did the same thing. Socializing never went away, it just changed form. You make it seem like nobody goes outside or talks to each other in real life, which is completely false. Take off those rose tinted goggles.

I was born in 96 literally at the end of it all and I regret so much that in my one and only lifetime I will never get to experience anything like this. Thousands of years before the internet was around and I'm born right when it comes up

Thank you so much for sharing this. I also plan on watching all your other videos you uploaded from the 80s some other time. I watch videos like these alot because it's probably the closest i'll ever get to a time machine. I'm 16, i don't like my generation, it's pretty shitty to be honest. My biggest regret will always be that i wasnt born in the early 70s so that i could experience the late 80s and early 90s as a teenager and young adult. Not much i can do about it though, lol. Thanks again.

Kikoo Ferme Youre a smart teen. Stay stuck on the old school, study it, live it, buy yourself a radio cassette player and tell your parents to buy you a cassette album Stevie B.

bro you got the right mindset. i felt this comment deep in my soul lol you’re prolly like 19 now and i’m 22 and i feel the exact same way. i wish i could’ve been born in the 70s as well to experience this time period. social media and our phones have sadly become the downfall of our generation and we will never get to experience anything like this unfortunately. it’s all about views and likes nowadays.

@@rubiguzman6810 im 24 and I wish I was born in like 76 so I could be 18 in 96 76 is the prefect year I'd literally get to see everything I love in music art and media in it's prime and infancy :(
@rubiguzman68104 жыл бұрын
Rattamatt396 if you were born in 76 you would’ve been 20 in 96 my love lol but i get what you’re saying and i agree, it would’ve been cool to have been there especially in our youth; just being old enough to experience things.

I grew up during the 80’s and 90’s and they were some of the best times of my life. The music, movies, the girls, the homies. So Cal life was like a dream.

This is awesome. Thanks so much for uploading the video without adding music over the original audio. Makes it closer to feeling like you were actually there living it. It's also inspired me to upload some cruising videos I taped from the 2000s. Just getting started but feel free to check them out if you are interested! Hopefully more people will upload what they have as well. Can't get enough of this nostalgia!

I'd say the same for you, I'm living in the 50's, the American Graffiti days, when we had real American cars with chrome and hot rods and cars were easier to soup up, and no electronics, and rock and roll and rockabilly and doo-wop, we wore our levi's to fit. and rolled our cigarettes up in our sleeve and cruised all night long, and you could get away with stuff in the late 50's, we use to run away from the police and they had just as much fun as we did. I guess times really have changed if were calling the 80's old.

DJ Rudy mini trucks with dancing beds are making a comeback. I just finished my Z rack with 2 pumps on my 85 Toyota extra cab. It would be nice to see some mini’s from the Desireable Ones back at Legg Lake. You guys had the craziest bed dancing trucks back in the day.
