I was landlord there about 20 ISH years ago. It's a fantastic building but I was ripped off big time but the pub company that owned in ( punch taverns) when i while I was in the offered to sell it to me. I asked how much and they said 3•75 million. Yes million. Then when I left they sold it for the price of an ex council house.

That's absolutely shocking Nick. It was a great community pub and asset. I do wonder who it was that ended up buying it for such a bargain price and why they got it so cheap. Being a pub landlord is not an easy job, it's hard work and terrible hours. Thank you for all the enjoyment that you gave to so many people in your time there.
