It's the same train that we have in the corridoor Madrid-Alicante (and I think the Madrid-Seville, also). It's a good train, not comparable to the new AVE's generation (AVE 102 and 103 series) but it's a comfortable and nice train.

@@martinrey5894There's only 1 CAF Oaris train in Spain, which Renfe has been testing over and over again. I really doubt it will enter service because it's expensive to operate 1 single train, but if it does it will probably be an Avant service because it only has 4 coaches, which is quite short for an AVE.

I've taken this train many times a couple of years ago in which I had to travel from Madrid to Figueres ( some 40Km to the french border) on it's way back. I have to say that there's more space and room in the old 100 (Madrid - Lyon) class than the 103 Siemens trains operating the Madrid-Barcelona service (more modern than the 100 class) that has its origin in Spain in the 1992 first high speed line between Madrid and Sevilla ans were fully refurbished in 2009).

Brazil is too large to cover it entirely by high-speed rail, however for distances up to 700 km it can be perfect. And all major cities in Brazil are relatively close to each other. A line Curitiba-São Paulo-Rio-Belo Horizonte would be awesome. It just wouldn't make sense to link Manaus to it.

5:16 I'm a frequent rail user in spain and those screens are still used to play films and documentaries in most Renfe AVE and Long Distance trains, where the staff delivers free (low-quality) single use earphones to plug in the socket you show in 4:28. In some modern Regional trains the screens only display route information instead. Maybe this particular train had the system broken? Who knows

Here in the UK, they're illegal to use outside private land, which is really stupid because they're a green way to get around and more versatile than bicycles. And the government says we have to respect the environment more!
@dijikstra8
@dijikstra8 4 жыл бұрын
@@jamessamways8237 They're not really green though, unless compared to a car, but most people are not choosing between this and a car. The main problem is the collection of these things every night, since there are no charging stations where riders can park them, underpaid gig workers ride around in polluting trucks and bring them to some place for overnight charging. I can see their use, but only if they also provide plenty of proper charging stations and parking.

@@jamessamways8237 Apparently they only last 3-4 months of use before breaking. Replacing them so often with new models (and the material, manufacturing and logistics involved) ends up being much more polluting than cars. Hopefully they can make them more durable over time. Even if they "break even" in terms of pollution vs cars, the physical space (the thing, parking and roads) saved is a huge deal in city centers.

They may be there, either for the preferente/club crew (club is the premium class for some high speed trains) or in case passengers from a broken train are relacated there.
