As younger audiences find the friday the 13th series and become fans, i often get asked about where to buy the movies. This is even starting to happen to me in real life when people who know I am a fan ask me these questions. So here is a BRIEF example on what you can get to own the films on physical media!

I own 3 of these sets. And I agree Friday the 13th is the best thing to collect. The best is from Scream Factory. Spend the extra $ it’s worth it.

The Scream Factory Box set is the way to go for all of the movies. But also the Documentaries His Name is Jason and Crystal Lake Memories are must haves for Jason Fans. Hopefully, Scream Factory can do a 4K set like Halloween has done.

I know I just commented on another F13 vid but I’m new to the channel and it’s by far my favorite on horror/slasher home media releases. This is truly a gift for new and even seasoned horror fans who might not know what releases to get since there are so many! Great stuff!

7:17 I have that set (got it years ago for xmas), I personally hate the cardboard sleeves lol, yeah they look cool but its such a pain to get the discs out, I ended up just buying a 13 disc DVD case for them.

I'm, not someone who double dips unless a new copy of something comes out that I totally have to have. I own the Scream Factory set and have all the movies on DVD for me that's enough. I really want Scream Factory to put out a Nightmare set I would love that.

I have all of and each and every single Friday the 13th Blu-ray boxed sets that exists and ever existed, Friday the 13th Part's 3 & 4 in one Blu-ray case and all and every single DVD Friday the 13th boxed sets. I also have the Halloween 10-Disc Blu-ray boxed set (2014), Blu-ray Halloween 6 - The Producers Cut, Custom Halloween 1-8 4K boxed set. But I'm more of a Friday the 13th fan than Halloween. I also have all of and each and every single Dept. 56 Christmas collection that exists and ever existed.

I wish I had the German books . the best set is the scream factory box set l'm really glad I was able the get it . I wish had the Halloween box set but I was able 1 - 5 on 4k hope to get 7 - 8 on 4k soon .

I own the original DVD release of the original Friday the 13th, which is out of print and the only DVD available for the original theatrical release of that film if you want to own it, it also came out in 1999, so the crystal lake to Manhattan is the original dvd releases of the first 8 films, which does include the theatrical version of the original film. The Deluxe Edition set just includes the Uncut version of the original film, so just be on the lookout. I’m fortunate to own the 1-8 original blu-ray deluxe edition set and the new 1-8 set.

Great Collection, Christian! I have Crystal Lake To Manhattan, The Collection (in a white case but not in a box set), Jason Slasher Collection, and the new steel books for 1 & 2. I'll have to get the 3 steel book and 4 when it comes out. I'm happy to hear that the tin box set and the scream factory set are still around. My aunt plans on giving me her old Nightmare box set with 1 to New Nightmare. I think you did a video talking about Crystal Lake To Manhattan and the old Nightmare box set if I remember correctly.

This video was great, it kept reminding me of the Richard Pryor joke about saying when he went to Africa and people kept saying how much cool stuff there was in America 🇺🇸 and he said we’ve got all that stuff in America! 😊 I genuinely forgot about a lot of this stuff, my complete collection is all over the place it’s VHS, ex rentals DVD and Blu Ray but I love it for that reason.

Well, as far as the Paramount versions of the new scans are concerned, as Richard Diaz has pointed out, and to paraphrase him, the aspect ratio is wrong, as the upper and lower aspects of the image were intended to be blocked out. One reason for this is that they might allow things into the frame that weren't intended.

From what I understand the ONLY release to ever use the correct aspect ratio of the movie is the UK dvd release.

Great video Christian some of those sets I have and some of them I don't the Warner Brothers set was used on Orbit DVD I didn't get it and I'm not sure if it's still on there I know some of the foreign releases like the Spain ones have multiple regions it would be awesome if the German ones would do the same

I have the complete collection box set and the whole franchise on DVD. I had other copies of DVDs of 1, FVJ, and 5 and VHS copies of FVJ and JGTH but those all got jacked except for the copy of 5 I gave away.

If you order it new from Amazon they send it with the right disks I just got mine at the start of the week and they had the box marked that the collection came in to let the buyer know it was the correct disks.
