The riffs' origin for those who want to know: 0:04 - Check My Brain ("Black Gives Way to Blue", 2009) 1:17 - Them Bones ("Dirt", 1992) 1:47 - Sludge Factory ("Alice in Chains", 1995) 2:33 - Stones ("The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here", 2013) 2:45 - No Excuses, a sort of a jam ("Jar of Flies", 1994) 3:07 - Again ("AiC", 1995) 3:45 - We Die Young ("Facelift", 1990) 4:10 - It Ain't Like That ("Facelift", 1990)

@Tonycaveman10 жыл бұрын
Gosh, that sounds really nice. Really full tone. Even more outstanding is that I've seen them live twice and he manages not to drown out any other member of the band. In fact, Alice in Chains probably have the best live mix I've ever heard (they also nail it in terms of playing). All Jerry did when I saw them was play. He left all the pedal stomping, effect looping and channel switching to his tech to get rid of the mucky-muck.
@RedroomStudios9 жыл бұрын
great observation about their live sound!

Yeah, I was watching an interview or rig rundown with JC a while ago and said something about having his tech do most of the switching now so that he could concentrate on playing and singing. Makes perfect sense to me.

@justanotherguitarplayer97674 жыл бұрын
@@minisurfbanana How did you go about that exactly? I had a 655 credit score when I tried, with almost 2 years of on time payments on almost a dozen credit cards, and could never get approved for even $500 or 1000. Did you call them and speak to someone?
@minisurfbanana4 жыл бұрын
Adam C. I think you have to many credit cards. On time payments is good but only part of it. A lot of it comes with the % of debt u have compared your total credit line. If you have say $50k worth of credit on 12 credit cards and you have a balance of $40k. They’ll think you can’t handle more credit. Even if your paying on time. Piece of advice!!! Get rid of at least 6 of your cards. I use to have like 10 cards and owed more than $35k in them. I loss my job and couldn’t pay them. I defaulted on all of them and got sued. It a blessing really cause after making a deal with the lawyers or collection agencies I only paid like $18k. Took about 4 years to pay it off with the majority of pay from a new job going to paying it off. After that I rebuild my credit history with one Credit card. My Sweetwater was my 2nd credit card after getting a car loan. Now I buy everything from Sweetwater cause the 24/48 monthly payments with interest...sweet deals.

I finally got my hands on one, with the factory added resonance knob by Dave (it’s a must IMO, because it helps shape the bass in different cab/speaker setups). The tone is perfect, the sound I wanted and needed, even after all the years of hype and watching videos while dreaming of having one. I love my JCMs/ENGL/KSR/SLO/Uberschall for death metal and OSDM, but this is THE dream amp for everything else, and definitely boosted will do death metal. I cannot recommend it more or thank Jerry and Dave enough for making the JJ-100. Tone quest over; I found my holy grail.

Its nice to see this genius at work like his brain power to create his amp for us fans, demonstrate how its used. He is so so much more than some kickass revoltionary guitarist who utilized what he learned from the masters he loved like eddie van halen, robin trow, i think even harrison is high up there in his book, commenting that someone gave him all things must pass when he completed d trip and he thought is was f****** cool. He obiviously digs harrisons talent and style as a guitarist. But jerry is so much more than his epic exceptions in the mastery of his craft. He has gone on to do producing and musical arrangments. His techonical knowhow is often over looked while he is bleeding it out under the neon lights. But with his new line its far more evident that we have underestimated what he is cable of. Congrats on your own brand jerry now is there anything that out of your reach???

Your best bet is to get a decent tube amp can probably get away with a good trans amp as well (Orange Crush) fiddle round with the EQ .. I got my bass less than quater of the way up mids at about 1 oclock and the treble is over 3/4 of the way up that and my LT distortion pedal Gain almost all the way up tone at 3oclk and ISF at 11oclk sounds pretty damn good.
