I love how far we've come First, octolings were just the antagonistic force we only dreamed of being able to play as Second, they were introduced as playable thanks to dlc, plus one of the idols was an octoling Now, they're available in the base game and once again one of the idols is an octoling This is truly a win for octolings all over

Fortunately the Squid Sisters' singing could lift the curse, and now all Octolings who came to the Square and Splatlands in later games were healed by the Calamari Inkantation, so it's fine.

Octoling version of the Kraken could've been a spinning giant octopus that shoots ink missles from its mouth and with it's tentacles stuck to the ground it spreads ink everywhere it moves, but would move slower than the Kraken and can't jump. lol I love how Corey oh so casually mentions 3 even though in-cannon 3's identity is a secret and no one but the cap, the Agents, Marina/pearl and octolings know of 3, which could have 2 meanings, 1 Corey is friends with 3 and 3 told Corey everything or Corey IS 3 and that's why he recognized an Octoling so quickly because in splat2 the Octolings are just presented as Inklings with fun new haircuts, because Marina was afraid of being hated if she came out as an Octoling I'm probably looking WAAAY to into this wholesome comic XD
