I bought this Frigidaire 70 Pint Dehumidifier Unit FFAD7033R1 from Best buy, I had them price match to Home Depot had a lower price. It works really well No Problems. I use this unit with a digital humidity monitor, and I'm buying some more for my house and garage, they really help.

I've had the same one for 18 months. Live in Florida and run it 2 hours per day only, makes the house cooler lowering the ac bill and reducing risk of mold. Works very well.

Yes, I agree they help a lot. I'm going to have HVAC installer put a whole house dehumidifier on my furnace and AC.

Is this an energy efficient unit? I think I heard you say it was but wasn't sure. My landlord lent me this for humidity/moisture issues in a top floor, corner unit apartment for a month to see if I indeed had issues. I definitely do, I'm having to empty the bucket about once every 4 days and can tell the difference in here since using the unit. If they do not supply me with one in the end (which I think they should as I don't own the APT), I think I'm going to with this brand. It works really well, thanks!

I read multiple reviews that said this is a great dehumidifier. But look online and see how many people are getting the dreaded FO error code. There is something wrong in the design or material; it is failing for too many people, in my opinion. I bought it in Jan. 2018. It stopped working within 6 months(after 1 spring). Got F0 code. I use it in a 1400 square foot house. I only have moisture to remove in spring and fall. I contacted Frigidaire. They sent me a rebate form. I can buy a replacement and put it on my credit card.(they will not cover the $50.00 tax because I bought on Amazon). What if I don't have a credit card? Or room left on my card for $400.00 to wait up to a month for reimbursement? Update: It is now Feb.2020. I dealt with Anthony. Next was Tamarra. Then Mellisa The "corporate Supervisor". All 3 promised another rebate form as the first one expired while I tried to sort it out. Still no form. The 4th person also promised to send the form. Still nothing. I will never purchase another Frigidaire product due to poor quality control and inept customer service.

Wow, sorry to hear that. I have to upgrade my A/C I'm thinking about looking into how much a whole house dehumidifier would cost to have installed on my furnace along with the A/C upgrade. I get tired of the small dehumidifiers.

Did you make a video about removing the clear plastic insert in the bucket? Please let use know how to do that as after a few years mine really needs to be scrubbed. See the plastic tabs, but need more detail so I do not break it. Thanks!

Sorry, No I haven't made a video of the bucket being disassembled. I just took my time and took it apart that handle comes off and the plastic comes apart for cleaning.

i have an issue with the drain, i attached plastic adapter and a garden hose below the machine, I put the machine up on a platform, hose is hanging down into a bucket, and it doesn't drain, it still fills and when the machines bucket fills it stops. what am I missing? do i need to take the machines bucket away?

Could be defective, I'm not for sure. I would look at the owners manual if it's still doing that call customer service.

the fan loud is ok! but I hear an annoying noise on the back (on the filter back side) do you hear it??? the thing is I see everything works, humidity down etc. but that noise is very annoying.
@IndianaDiy
@IndianaDiy 6 жыл бұрын
You might be talking about the little compressor, reheater or compressor cooling coils. Hard to tell but its normal.
@JohnSmith-zl8rz
@JohnSmith-zl8rz 6 жыл бұрын
yes is on the back, on the filter inside, I don't know anything of how this things are built but yes I think is the compressor; the unit works well, down the humidity, I put out a lot water etc... everything works but that annoying noise is not good, and I was think that something is wrong with the unit, I can show a video later. thank you so much!

seems like you have had yours for a little while now. question for you... my first time using one of these...I've had it on "high and CO" for a few hours now (first time plugging it in) and the fan is blowing it fairly warm air... does that go away with time? is it normal?
@IndianaDiy
@IndianaDiy 3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for late reply, The warm air is normal operation to keep the compressor cool. I use the water from dehumidifier to flush my toilets saves on the water bill if you have one.

@IndianaDiy

Sorry, I have never had that code before. I'm not for sure how you would fix it, I would look in the owners manual first.

If you just bought that unit it sounds defective. It is possible that it needs to be serviced or replaced/exchanged. If it runs for a long time and no water is in the bucket at the bottom, It is Not working.

I have tried removing the clear plastic to clean the bucket. It does not come off easily. Please KZbin that. The bottom of the bucket is dirty with something. Needs to be cleaned. Unit smells bad when running.

how do you clean the bucket? how do you get the clear plastic off? can you youtube that? thanks
@IndianaDiy
@IndianaDiy 7 жыл бұрын
+Keith Happ it has plastic tabs and easily removes for cleaning. I would use a good disinfectant cleaner like Dr brothers Sal suds, or Odoban disinfectant cleaner to sanitize the water tank. If using garden hose adapter for draining you can by pass cleaning the tank. Thanks for the question and feedback. I will try to make a video for that at a later time.

Would also love to know this. The plastic bucket lid is really hard to get off to clean the inside.

I never tried taking out the plastic but you could put a little bleach water in to clean it. I want to remove it too but afraid I'll break it.

Please help. I bought this unit and I ran it all night and the bucket is only half full. The humidity level only dropped 1% from 50% the night before to 49% in the morning. The setting was set to 35% humidity so it can draw more water. Previously, I owned a Danby unit 70 pint. The bucket gets full in 3-4 hours and the humidity level would drop from 50% to 35% per my setting. I am worried if my unit is not working properly can someone please confirm. Thanks in advance.
@IndianaDiy

It sounds like it may not be working correctly. You should talk with customer service. You may need it serviced under warranty. The unit I have takes 3-6 hours depending I usually set my unit on 60%.
