@@jojjojo4646 It very much is. Not everyone even has the same pathways to empathy in their minds. It is a universal thing, for the most part. Nearly everyone has a form of it. Even sociopaths and narcissists have some paths to attaining functional empathy. But it looks different in different people. Not everyone will be able to show empathy in every instance they maybe should, and it is in fact a constant challenge in all of our lives... that continual growth and expansion of empathy is HARD EARNED through experiences in life. Often, it relies on us knowing experiences we can't directly access... so we have to look around at things beyond us, and the search ourselves until that understanding crystalizes and we are able to be intuitively empathetic in those circumstances. It involves linking things that your ego says are not you, with the things it says are. It's an inherently personal journey, with everyone at different points in their own at any given moment. I would argue that understanding this is a big part of growing your empathy in general... understanding flaws and obstacles that people face to having it, rather than pretending like they're not there. In your judgment is a lack of empathy towards humans. And this is important if you care about animals, as it relates to understanding how humans treat other animals, and where it actually comes from. You can wish for more to empathize with the frog automatically and judge those who don't, but that's not helping you understand the ones who don't, at all. And because of that, you will be unable to connect with them in a way that would actually impact their decision... because they see that, and know you don't see them, or how they feel. No new empathy is ever formed by the act of active dismissal, not in these situations. That's more just giving up on that person's growth... on them being someone who brings more joy and progress than pain and stagnation. If you believe all humans can do it, you also have to recognize who they are as humans, not cast that aside under a blanket ethic for how we should all simply be. It just isn't practical. I'll ask you this... ever work with kids? IME, some of them just have that temperament that makes them naturally more understanding and receptive to needs beyond themselves. But most of them will need to be carefully taught how to navigate their emotions in a way that will allow them to actively manifest empathy in needed times to make it socially. It's not easy work, child behavior can be a nightmare to be with, as they can be very cruel and see no problem with it at all. Young boys often have to be taught not to do things like make "anole lizard gladiator fights," approach the cat how they want to be approached, or even just why sharing is important, or why you shouldn't bully girls. There are a lot of grown adults out there now who commit all sorts of unempathetic acts and don't even see a need to have empathy, because they were never taught, or because their experiences taught them the opposite. And it kinda destroys their lives, and the lives of people around them. When I really search myself, I just find it tragic and ask myself what people really need in order to see it in themselves to be better to each other, and have a better, more interconnected attitude towards all life. And you know? The number one way to get a kid to empathize when they aren't understanding something, is to demonstrate empathy in getting it across, get them searching their own feelings in a positive and outcome-driven way. The person on the other side of the actions becomes easier for the child to recognize, they just needed help tapping into it internally in a way that feels mutual and non-threatening. Funny how that works, eh? Patience is vital. I completely respect and understand your frustration. I often feel similarly. But then I have to look in the mirror and see a man losing his patience and gathering cynicism. And then I have to take some time to sort that out. And life is so very short. It's not an easy balance for me, and I suspect I'm not the only one. I am constantly learning, unlearning, re-learning. I think that's okay, though. It's okay to need to grow more, so long as you're at least looking towards that, not resting too much on your ethical laurels but instead leaving them open to challenge from time to time, so they too can be stronger. TBH, you don't even see people like me when you say that. I have severe ADHD and often get frustrated with people and situations not moving fast enough. This because at the same time, my brains ability to process what is coming at it, is dwindling rapidly and I am straining myself very hard just to keep up. If it gets really bad, I enter a state called emotional dysregulation. Basically a 'fit'. I want to die when I'm having a fit. I punched a fridge and broke my hand the last time I had one. I hate how I am in those moments. It becomes very hard to hold onto my empathy in those times. And that's not to say I think I shouldn't try. It's just that it is a challenge. Understand, I didn't want to acknowledge how much of a challenge it was for years. I had too much pride to admit it. Wanted to believe I was a better person that I was, because the challenges producing my worse aspects truly weren't my fault. It takes work, and lots of contemplating events in my life and how my own feelings relate, for me to see past my own predicament and meet people in the middle, where we can actually be there for eachother. It's not a natural process for me in the really intense moments, but one I have trained into myself over years of working with others who also wanted to see me grow. Without their help and willingness to set aside what shows on the surface, I'd still be lashing out at people and situations like I always used to, just because my brain is tired...and I'm telling myself I am still okay out of fear for what it would take to change on my own. My life would be worse, and I might not even understand why myself, even as I take on actions that hurt myself and others.

Hello ! May Allah protect and guide you to his light and happiness in this life and the hereafter, God bless, Ameen. Excuse me for giving a little presentation of Islam, because it is very misunderstood nowadays, especially on those « Antichrist's » times, where media and politics are mixed to distort history and truth. And terrorists (puppets of the Antichrist) who misinterpret verses, out of ignorance and political motivations, and take them out of historical context (just like radical atheists do by the way), don't help either. Thank you very much for your time. Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them). Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI). Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy. Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI). Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad). Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning! Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures. Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement. It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them. (19-22 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).. Salam (Peace) ---
