The Front Parlor Restoration Project 2017-20

George Washington's Mount Vernon is an active estate, welcoming visitors 365 days a year. With so many visitors, George Washington's Mansion needs to be in top shape. Restoration is constant at historic sites, but this year, our preservation team will be conducting a complete restoration of the front parlor in the mansion.

Could you show us more of the actual restoration work being done and what is the schedule for completion in 2018, also would like to know what the actual living conditions inside the mansion was like in the middle of winter, great video as always.

Hi Drake, the scheduled completion for the front parlor is summer 2018. We will be posting another front parlor vlog from our architectural conservator soon!
