Glad you're now well enough to ride. Love the picture quality of Gopro but I'm never ever going to own or use one ever again. Really happy with the 100% reliability of DJI Action 3 & 4.

I’m just going to have to bite the bullet aren’t I? Can you run the helmet cam from a power bank? Also, what do you do about microphone? DJI wireless?

@motomogul The official DJI microphone adapter is much smaller and neater than the Gopro media cage. It has a C type charge plug that I believe you can charge through via a power bank. We use a very unconventional way to record our audio. We have cheap Hamo laptop microphones plugged into Rode Wireless Go2 senders. These transmit our combined audio to the receiver which we mount to the Insta 360 cam that can often be seen in our vids on the front of my bike. It means Carol doesn't need to wear a camera or audio recorder.

I’m amazed you’re already out riding considering what you’ve been through so well done. I would think the hard work you put in to recover from hip surgery has helped. Ahhh, GoPro’s, what a nightmare they’ve become. No wonder so many have switched over to Osmo Action 4

Osmo Action 4 is on my wish list for a helmet cam. Just bought an Insta 360 modular camera for going on the bars that was going for a bargain and had a discount code, and it was faultless yesterday. Bought that with the money from my amazing Patreon supporters. Everyone kept telling me to take it easy, but I felt dreadful sitting around everyday. As soon as I got back on the bike and back into the gym, I felt like my old self again 👍

Great to see you back on the bike. Well done. I feel the same about my (little?) VStrom 650. I keep looking at other bikes, the new 800RE, the 1300GS, a s/h 1250GS and thinking the same as you.... what will a new bike do better than the bike I have. Given the miles I have ridden and the hours I have spent in complete comfort, I think I'll stick with what I have thanks.

Thanks Wayne. There’s no point in letting it get you too down. I went through the hand wringing stage with my diagnosis. The love, positivity and support I’ve received from quite literally everyone has been a huge factor in helping me to feel so positive 🏍️❤️👍

Great to see you back mate 👍 I totally agree with you about the Anakee's, don't know what all the fuss about the noise is about? Same for buying the the first of anything these days. It's well known manufacturers use consumers to develop their products. Totally support you ref bowl cancer screening, don't ignore it, do it send it.

Dropped GoPro a long time ago Jack, only use DJI now and an Insta 360 X2 for interesting angles, had so many issues with software on GoPros. Great to see you out and about👍

Just bought a modular Insta 360 from the money kindly donated from my Patreon supporters. Tested it out today and it was faultless, whilst the GoPro’s continued to frustrate. It’s obvious which way the future lies 🙄😂👍📷

Great video. What was the bridge for back in the day? Did it cover a spring or a water well? Love things like that.

Cheers bud. It’s known as the Trinity Bridge and it was built to span 2 rivers at their confluence, which was pretty clever. Those rivers were redirected years ago so it doesn’t really serve any purpose other than a relic of medieval architecture. The first mention of it was in 716AD. So it’s pretty old 👍
