Pretty well actually. Armor is kinda trash no matter the tier and gun depression make some positions hard to work in, but great camo + 330 avg heat pen with decent gun handling and good dpm is enough good things to do really well consistently if you're good

when I got the tank for the first time i played it like a true medium but soon discovered you have to have some distance between your targets because it has no armor but has a good camo and gun. I hated it at first but now a I love it.

I used vents, CVS and bounty exhaust for main build and used it like a very agressive scout-sniper hybrid and had crazy 67-70% win ratio with the tank. It's so amazing. The K-91 (which doesn't have that insane camo compared to its tier) was a massive dissapointment.

Honestly the Obj 416 is very underated sure most people can't handle the -3 gun depression but how did you even reach tier 8 you have to play the A-44 I seen players use the 57mm because it has -5 gun depression than the 107mm -3

I'm going up this line. It's a neat tank, and I like how I can hide in tiny dips in the ground and bait tanks into my teammates. I can also use my 283 and obsidian for crew training which is nice.

@@johneden2033 but thats the thing, the average wot yolo trash player doesnt realize it and plays it like a regular medium (t-44, t-54 mod 1 and CS-52 LIS) and since this thing doesnt have any armor they get punished rapidly, once you understand you can bully light tanks and outspot them and even bully and outspot shitcamp TDs it becomes crazy good.

I love rear mounted tanks and think they are super fun but I couldnt enjoy this tank probably because I wanted to play it more as an aggressive medium. I see perhaps my philosophy on how to use this tank was flawed and I will try a sneakier build with more opportunistic gameplay.

An actual hidden gem if played with a camo build as it has 62 stationary camo as well as 44 moving camo. It is busted if you can find a spot where you can work your gun without moving your hull, but the restrictive nature of this tank lets it down quite often. The platform is the main issue as to why it is not played by many.

I had around 70% win ratio when I grinded the line simply because with cvs and bounty exhaust I outspotted even enemy lights (except the elc). This tank was insanely fun to play with.

This is by far my most favorite T8. Beautiful gun, HEAT shell are amazing. The camo is completely broken. Hard to play, but 56 games for 3 MOE, that was amazing !

The Obj 416 has always worked well for me. I believe I had the first mark before I'd researched the Obj 430II. The only reason I don't play it is the increasing ground undulations, which sometimes keeps its 3 degrees of depression from working in even the most flat looking parts of the map.

I love that people are saying “no gun depression”. Yeah, the point of this tank isn’t to take it where you need to use gun depression. It’s a hybrid, td/lt/med, and because of its flatness and sneakiness, you can use it in different parts of the map that you might not otherwise. I play the K-91 religiously, so it’s just about adapting to the idea of this tank and not trying to make it do what you normally do in a medium.

It's a long time ago that I played this tank. It's not an easy tank to play. And when coming from the A-44, you have to unlearn everything you learned to make the A-44 work. You have to play the Obj 416 completely different. The turret traverse isn't a real problem. The complete lack of gun depression is. If the terrain isn't perfectly flat, the only way to get that gun on target is to find a downward slope or a dip. The problem with that is you'll expose the upper glaces and upper deck. And the engine is in front. If anyone sneezes in your direction, they'll take out the engine. I didn't have sixth sense back then, I think you really really need it to play this tank, to make the camo work. And the matchmaking sucks for this tank. You're tier 8, but you're almost never in a tier 8 match. It's always 9 or 10. The M-63 is a good gun though, once you get it unlocked.

Well the sixth sence is basic need for every tank that has no armor and the camo skill too but with that any tank cann become a manace too the enemy Team I personally like the elc amx bis a little too much (3 maked it over dmg not spotting) the camo around 50% with just the skill and painting a pretty potent gun (pre tier x light Patch 160mm on ap and 210mm on apcr 😅was the kv3 and kv4 schredder now 120mm ap and 160 mm apcr still enough too Penn top tier heavys frontal) and the low Profil is just perfekt too set up a ambush 240dmg doo hurt even at tier 7 and the "long" reload is also not too bad since once you shoot you have too move in a new Position till you arnt spotted anymore soo 12s too 10s is about the right time too repeat the ambush

I prefer the STG Guard instead of this tank. In expense of having 10m less view range, less camo and 330mm HEAT. You got full turret, higher alpha, more hp, more armor on the turret and double the gun depression(-6)

As a long time user of this tank (not by choise), I'd like to warn everyone : DO NOT buy/use this tank, if you do free 2 play. Ammo cost + repairs are BRUTAL for your wallet (even with regular AP), and if you don't want use HEAT due to cost... you get punished 90% of the time. EDIT : PS. Forgot to mention the grinding to unlock stuff... it's bad (especially when you don't have unlocked some things from other tanks).

Let me, the 'noob' explain it to you.....*ahem ahem* ........ -3° gun depression. 15° gun elevation! This 'pro player' is baffled why people do not play this tank, when -5° is bad enough to LITERALLY raise your gun when you step on a car to the point you CAN NOT hit an enemy in front of you. Before the buff the T-34-3 was near unpayable with it's -5. These days the 343 got -6.5. Which is 'alright'. And I like the tank overall. It beats the 59 in many regards. The *Garde* does sport *-6* which is 'playable' ... and *that's why they play it* ... not because its premium... not because the skin is so fancy... but because the gun can be aimed! I dare you to play in this tank on a hill map without cursing. Wanna bet 500 gold on it? ... I would very much like 500 gold... and I will get that 500 gold :))

K91 is so fun but every tank before it, including 416, just kinda suck. K91 gets 9 degrees, 110 turret arc, good shell velocity Things the t7-9 dont have

I had the opposite experience. I loved the 416 (I had 70% win rate with it when I bought the tier 9) but was verx dissapointed with the k-91. Probably because it doesn't have such huge camo advantage over all tier 10 meds like the 416 has in tier 8.

@@erikturnar6466 k91 still has the camo advantage tho. Most good t10 meds get some 30% max, k91 gets 50%. You get turret armour, shell velocity and 9 deg gun depression. Shouldn't rely on camo too much anyway as you are expected to fire your gun

@@helohel5915 It doesn't. The Obj. 416 has the second best stationary camo in tier 8, better than any light tanks. The K-91 on the other hand looses this advantage not just against the light tanks, but against the Udes 15/16 which has better camo, has good turret armor, gundep and high alpha. To be in the same spot as the Obj. 416 the K-91's stationary camo should be increased from the current 17.95% to 23%. And the tank still would lack the good alpha that makes the 416 special at tier 8.

You don't need armor, you don't need rotative turret, you don't need nothing just "some" knowledge of game mechanics and a 500 days + premium account, a cheating good MM and rng with you. OFC it helps if the enemy teams best player is a 50,5% wr player agains a team where you got more tha 3 players over 50% and you are a Legend III player with 61,48 WR and a press account. QB you summed up perfectly the current problems of WOT today! Thank you!

No one is playing it because the gun won't hit anything and the tank simply does not make ay credits. Just had a battle 7 shots no gold 6 hits 6 pens (all tanks I spotted) on defeat lost 8000 credits.

Cammo and high DPM is the most broken but also the hardest skill to master. Hence why no one plays this tank. It is not "meta" and beginer friendly. You jest but 14 years on few knows about double bushing.

Why doesn't anyone play this tank? Quicky, it's a sniper that can't snipe. Bad gun handling, poor mobility, and 3 degrees of gun handling is frustrating on maps with any elevation. It's not a good tank. You can have good matches in it if you're beating on tier 6s.
