Your wife is a SAINT. 4 kids for a weekend by herself? You got a real one. This is for the spouses of the runners who hold down the fort while we all do our long runs, race days, early nights, and more!

I absolutely loved this entire series. I think I comment on each video how motivating this series was. I am shooting for a marathon PR in January and I picked up so many great ideas in this series to deploy between my training block, the lead up to the race, and the race itself. I can't wait for that and I certainly can't wait to see what's next for you.

Had a race last Sunday - 31,3 kilometers with 559 high metres - the last hour was only pain but man was i dialed in from your 3 min hype video: kind of „the only thing that is left is: race!“ motivated me the full hour, leaving it all out there!! So proud of your time! And myself! 💪🫡 greets from Germany 😊

Awesome video! I wish someone had told you before hand for your practice run that the carriage roads to your left on the hills runs for the entirety of the newton hils. It's what all us locals run on through out the year in prep for the marathon. Kofuzi did the exact same think, ran on the side walk to the right of the road on the hills. Unfortunately if you're not a native, you wouldn't know to use the carriage roads. Next Boston though! Hope to see you in Brooklyn for the half!

Got this at the perfect time, about to start my 2nd speed workout of the week. Had a rough day yesterday at work and definitely need to watch this for some motivation. Congrats again Eric at Boston, it brings me joy that you have accomplished so much not just a PR in Boston, but much more as a whole as a person. Hope someday I can make it to Boston or any world major and meet you someday 🎉🎉🎉😅

@@flobergruns Thanks Eric, appreciate it a lot you responded. Brings me joy, yeah and also it motivates me more to push myself after a terrible BQ attempt in April at Bakersfieldmarathon. I was prepped and ready to go sub 2:55 or more and pace was perfect at 6:30 pace till after no directions where to go at the half, made the wrong turn and ran more milage than anticipated and missed the cutoff time by 5-6 min. I was disappointed in myself that all my hard work after 5 months was for nothing and I will never get to Boston or any world majors. However after watching your race videos and podcasts, it helps me calm my nerves and reflect that this isn't the end and will eventually reach that goal sooner than expected. I will attempt again to run a BQ at CIM this year to hopefully qualify for 2026. I might try to get into Chicago next year since I hit the time for that already, but who knows if I get in since its competitive. Sorry for this long message, this is the first I got a message from you and want to give you my thanks for the kind words you've given me and I hope going forward you will reach more goals for yourself to get sub 2:30 and more. Hope family and friends is good as well. PS, might want to try out BPN Gels and electrolytes for CIM pre, looks promising but saving up money first to get some.

Hi Eric, before the run when you all had your race shoes around your neck, what shoes were you wearing? Do you donate them or is there somewhere you can leave them for after as it was post bag-drop I wasn't sure? I love your videos, as a 4 hour runner you inspire me that one day I might have this experience. It's amazing!
