This is a very well thought out video and a lot of the answers you give do hit the mark - except one. Murdoc was not 'entangled' in the rope when Moon Flower let go. He couldn't hold the weight of the wheel by himself even though he tried to (we can see his feet scrambling on the foor as he tries to gain traction) and the rest of the rope is behind him. It wouldn't make any sense for the rope to suddenly tangle around him like headphones in a pocket when Moon Flower had been pulling the rope tought prior.

Thank you! I didn't mean "entangle" in the literal sense, I was talking about the weight pulling him in. I was using a slang term for the action of him being pulled in by the force and probably should have clarified.

My original wording was, "caught off by the sudden shift in weight, Murdoc is pulled toward the well.", but I figured that didn't explain why he would be slammed so hard into the beam. It WAS because he held on to try to save 2D, but it was also the force that caught him off guard and "entangled" him in the motion. I worded it oddly and tried to shorten it too much to explain what was going on in the simplest and most straightforward way. I didn't mean to misconstrue anything.

The phase was fun, and thank goodness had a more satisfying ending than a couple phases ago, i.e. "j/k, all the clues are meaningless, Murdoc is out of jail, Ace is gone, buy a watch!" I don't really expect anything from this phase to continue into or hint at the next, though.
