He had no formal engineering education but had engineering running through his blood. A brilliant man that should be respected and celebrated.

Hi, charming village called Maffersdorf is actually German name and in this time 1875 in country named Austro-Hungarian Empire 1867-1918, real name of village is Vratislavice nad Nisou today and situated on south-east from Liberec.

Interesting to me in the automotive world is relationships. Like Porsche having worked for Mercedes before creating the VW Bug (you seemed to skip over that), think the 356 used Bug parts - at least the engine. Porsche Engineering producing the Mercedes 500E, Isn't the Cayenne a redesigned Touareg?

Everything german is linked to the n4zis, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Krupp..even Bayern chenicals...not a single enterprise that went though the 1920s to 1945 are free of guilt..
