This keyboard is an actual monster. I used it for an entire day in 2.4GHz wireless "high sensitivity" mode (1 kHz polling rate), and the battery didn't even drop below 90%. Input latency in wireless mode also feels faster than my old wired Tofu65. And it sounds better stock than my tofu65 did after literal days of tuning, lubing, and modding.

Another great review. Not being able to feel that 8K difference is kinda annoying but you are future proofing when the tech catches up.

8k keyboard doesn't really mean much even for the future even rn 8k hz mice is good but it's really just not needed even in the future prolly not gonna be their considering big esports games one of them being R6 their engine just hates anything over 1.5k hz

Future proofing? Like, when you're gonna be able to react in sub 10ms in that "future" 😂😂😂 The technology is definitely getting more advance, but unfortunately humans reaction time is not.

Very informative review bro, What would you recommend aside from this hall effect keyboard? I've been eyeing on this one, but there are some others like drunkdeer g60/65, drunkdeer a75 pro, akko3016s he and endgame gear kb65he that are also good.

It looks very similar to AKKO year of Dragon. This product even supports wireless connectivity with the same performance as Dragon. When comparing the two products, were there any particular differences? If the Dragon model were more expensive just because it is a special designed- limited edition, I would be a little sad as a purchaser of the Dragon. ^^;;

Akko and Monsgeek are the same company. M1W-SP HE and MOD007V3 (Year of the Dragon) are very similar. Previously there were small differences but with the release of V3 version they are virtually identical. In this case the Dragon model is more expensive because it's a limited edition but I wouldn't be sad. It's a beautiful keyboard:) Especially considering wired performance is superior compared to wireless when it comes to this company's keyboards.

You're buying a more unique keyboard which is a limited edition. Plus when I last checked the price, they're not that much different.

i think what you are experience on the wirless mode is the interferance, I use mine with 3.0 usb hub to make the distance between the keeb and the wireless dongle closer.

Hello! Monsgeek M1W HE or Akko Mod 007B HE (PC case). Which one is better in terms of performance? In my country, I can purchase the Monsgeek for $140, while the Akko for $100.

Is this keyboard hot swappable with other switches?
@paul2609
@paul2609 4 ай бұрын
SteelSeries Apex Wireless is basically the only good wireless keyboard with rapid trigger since the latency difference between wired and wireless (at 1000Hz) is margin of error territory, basically gaming mice level of wireless latency (as expected from a gaming mice manufacturer). I think Razer is technically good (at wireless) as well but they use optical-based rapid trigger which have some caveats compared to magnetic switches.

And full aluminium case MASSIVELY debuffs all wireless connection modes. This is basic physics, with such case you HAVE to turn case into antenna applying technologies similar to mobile phones. But nobody does that. To have any chance of not trash wireless performance at least bottom part of the case should be plastic.
@paul2609
@paul2609 4 ай бұрын
@@Wyn3e I didn't have to use software for either of them, they are self-configurable. You can also just set the setting, save to onboard memory, and then uninstall it.

@@b1zzler sadly not a single chinese keyboard maker who makes full aluminium wireless KBs cares about wireless performance and all of them have super trash connectivity.

apparently it makes the typing feels more “bouncy” you can check out the different keyboard mounts on google. this is because there’s these rubber feet on the plate that rests on the base of the keyboard instead of a being directly screwed in, however flex of the pcb also helps with this bouncy experience

Great content man. Seems like all of these HE keyboards still can't match wootings performance. I wish more companies can make large layouts with wooting's performance. Feels like we are almost there but not quite, and these types of boards show that we will reach that the future is bright for great performing keyboards that sounds great as well.

Rewatching the vid again but it sounds like performance is identical except wireless/bluetooth is performing slow, which wooting doesn't have so not comparable. Please correct me if I'm wrong so I can avoid buying this keyboard.

@@Sicaryus I think you are right. From what I gather the boards that are way more expensive are only winning software wise, and are very minimally better on things I doubt anyone would be able to tell without inhuman measuring techniques. Although, I do think its important to note that the Akko HE switches arent compatible out of the box with the other non akko boards and vise versa as the magnets inside are reversed. Cant even buy the switches alone as of the time writing this. I might be biased because Personally i really enjoy the akko yellow cream HE switches, though. (Edit: I really enjoy these switches in the plastic case)
