Did you know that Earth used to have continents that no longer exist today? Millions of years ago, there were massive landmasses that have since disappeared, either sinking beneath the ocean or breaking apart to form new continents. One of these lost continents is called Zealandia, most of which is now submerged under the Pacific Ocean! There’s also a famous one called Gondwana, which eventually split into Africa, South America, Australia, and Antarctica. These changes happen because of plate tectonics, where Earth’s crust moves over time. It’s like a giant puzzle that keeps shifting, and we’re still discovering pieces of this ancient history!

Zealandia (pronounced /ziːˈlændiə/), also known as Te Riu-a-Māui (Māori)[2] or Tasmantis (from Tasman Sea),[3][4] is an almost entirely submerged mass of continental crust in Oceania that subsided after breaking away from Gondwana 83-79 million years ago.[5] It has been described variously as a submerged continent, continental fragment, and microcontinent.[6] The name and concept for Zealandia was proposed by Bruce Luyendyk in 1995,[7] and satellite imagery shows it to be almost the size of Australia.[8] A 2021 study suggests Zealandia is over a billion years old, about twice as old as geologists previously thought.

It's unbelievable that beneath today's continents lie fragments of ancient lost ones! Europe is actually 'sitting' on a massive sunken continent like Greater Adria. Just imagine if we could see the full shape of these hidden lands, the world map would look totally different

0:10 Eurasia has Africa too. Visuals canal maybe disconnect them, but the bridges connect them. So we have afro-eurasia. With the same way that North and South America are connected by the Panama bridges of the Panama canal.

No one seems aware of Lemuria-MU which was a large land area in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean. Lemuria-MU existed up to only a few tens of thousands of years ago. It was not as advanced as Atlantis, a high tech civilization that had existed for several million years in the Central Atlantic Ocean. Both of these groups sank into the seas perhaps because of geoloogical events and the melting of the Ice Age glaciers.

8:10 this means that the Americas and Russia if they will exist in the future, they will be greater neighbors by land. They are already neighbors by the sea.

Hard to see how india mived off the African Coast, and yet there was a continent there in the track. Not likely, as the 'missing continent' wasn't a continent before.
